My name is Aimee and I am an experienced nanny who holds qualifications in childcare & education Level 3.
Pediatric first aid, health and saftey and safeguarding. I am also an experienced cleaner/housekeeper.
I have been working as a sole charge nanny for over 10years, before that I worked as a nursery nurse for 12 months.
Working with children 4 weeks old right through to
14 years old.
I have also worked in a primary school for 6 months as a teaching assistant. While here I worked closely with a little boy on the autistic spectrum.
I am lucky enough to say I absolutely love my job. It is a pleasure to meet a family & end up becoming apart of them and their child's upbringing. And is lot's of fun along the way too!
A little bit about me personally. I am very much a creative person I enjoy music, arts and crafts, reading, swimming, poetry, sports, meditation & I am currently at the begining stage of learning spainish. I'm very artistic which definitely shows in my job. I also have a love of animals & the outdoors.
I really do believe in giving children a chance to understand the world. If they ask a question the answer should never be 'because I said so'. Children are people too and have questions and are curious of the world around them which I think is great! I think questions and curiosity makes character and I love seeing a child grown into their own individual.
My Experience
I began working with children at the age of 16 when I took on the role as a nursery nurse for children aged 3month - 5years. This continued on for around 12 months before I ventured into the world of nannying.
I have now been a sole charge nanny for over 10 years. I've worked with newborns to 14 years old in a sole charge role. I have been lucky enough to have worked with some very lovely families, who I still keep in contact with. As a nanny it really does depend on what you as the parents want but I like to really keep the children entertained, keep them happy and help them learn alot along the way!
I feel children thrive off of structure but still should have plently of adventure in their lives.
Your only a child once & I love to create a magical and happy environment for the children I work with. I am a very active and creative nanny so I like to take the children in my care on outings, playgroups, beach's, park's and museums. Balancing it with some home play such as painting, reading and messy play, homemade games etc.
I also like to make time for educational activities in the day where we can learn about numbers, spellings, reading, homework etc.

Aimee worked with me for just over 2years. My boys being 12 months and 3years old when she started, I cannot recommend her enough. She is absolutely fantastic at her job, she is devoted, warm and friendly, very easy to communicate with and really does give her all to her nanny family.
My boys adore her, she knows her job very well. My eldest son has always been a shy boy but since Aimee joined our family he has grown into himself so much, his very confident, he loves socialising with other children and adults now and is a lot happier.
As for my younger son we had some problems with his sleep routine before Aimee came along. Aimee took her own time out to help me along with this, it was not the easiest of tasks but she stuck to it and really helped me get a good routine with him. Now he sleeps through the entire night without a sound! I couldn't of done this without the help of Aimee.
Overall she is a lovely girl who has become a friend and not just a nanny. I can highly and confidently recommend her to any family. She really is a star nanny!
