Hi I’m Jenny and I have been a childminder since 2001.
I have 2 daughters aged 21 and 18 who are in Uni/ full time education. They are very friendly and welcoming. In line with OFSTED requirements, my daughters have a DBS certificate and also have had additional checks with OFSTED.
I also live with my husband who works full time and also has DBS and completed checks via OFSTED. He enjoys having the little ones around and they enjoy having him around too.
My home is a welcoming environment suitable for all ages. I have a dedicated room which is solely set up for caring for children. It is full of fantastic resources and plenty of learning opportunities. I also use a separate dining room, kitchen and downstairs toilet.
My setting is as COVID secure as a childcare setting could be. Resources are cleaned regularly throughout the day and childcare are actively encouraged to wash their hands regularly throughout the day. I also sanitise childminding areas twice a week with a specialist fogging machine. I have a strict cleaning regime which is completed daily.
Meals are included with your fees which include, breakfast, lunch and snacks (am/pm)
I am located in Anfield and live opposite Stanley Park.
I enjoy caring for children as I feel that it comes naturally. I want them to feel safe and comfortable and enjoy spending time with me.
I support children as they learn and develop by ensuring they are able to participate in all learning activities despite their age or stage of development. I have got excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and follow this when planning activities and outings.
I am aware of the importance to keep all the children and babies in my care happy, healthy, safe and secure. I provide a caring and sensitive approach to the way I care for children and they all really become part of our extended family. I have a child led approach and plan around their interests and what they enjoy doing. I ensure that their development is tracked to ensure no gaps in their development.
I take pride in having positive working relationships with parents and families. I ensure that you have a regular insight to how your little one is developing and what fun things we are up to. I am very approachable and proactive and will work with you to resolve any concerns you may have. I aim to work in partnership with parents/carers to ensure that you are involved in your child’s development and you are supported just as much as the children through all transitions.
I am a reliable and trustworthy person. I understand the importance of the responsibility of caring for someone elses children and I will ensure that it is a quick and successful transition for your child and yourself.
Returning to work isn't easy so I'm here to take a little bit of the stress away. I offer a non obligatory visit and 2 free settling in sessions.
I accept payment via tax free childcare and offer funded places.

I also offer school holiday care for older children. I ensure they enjoy their time here and are kept busy with access to plenty of resources and activities. During the summer months we enjoy having picnics in the park and enjoying outdoor activities.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since September 2011.
I have experience with additional needs and neurodiverse children and also children with physical disabilities.
I have previously worked with physiotherapists and speech and language therapists and have experience working with children in these areas.
I have previously worked as a teaching assistant in both mainstream and special schools with a range of ages.
I am constantly looking for areas of improvement and will undertake my own research and continue with online CPD courses to ensure my knowledge is current and relevant to my role.

My Availability
I am available 5 days a week and hours are flexible
I work typically from 8am - 5pm (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and 8am - 4pm on Fridays. I am available earlier on request but do not open past 5pm (4pm on Fridays)
I cater for parents who work shifts patterns and can accomodate most circumstances.
Unfortunately, I do not offer any before school care and have no vacancies for after school care for the foreseeable future.

Most warming welcoming person. So happy I found Jenny my little girl loves going. Jenny is just a home from home for my little girl I knew it was the right choice when I met her. Couldn’t recommend Jenny enough.

Jenny’s is currently caring for my 3rd child. When I was looking for childcare for my first 5years ago, I knew as soon as we met she was perfect.
She was calm, caring and welcoming. She was very flexible and helped my little girl settle quickly.
Having known Jenny now for 5 years and she minded all 3 of my children I am extremely grateful for all she has done for us.
Her knowledge and experience is excellent, especially as my 3 have a dairy allergy. Jenny takes things like this in her stride.
Not having all of my family living near by, she makes going to work so much easier.
Home from home is definitely what her setting is.

Our little girl has been going to Jenny's for months now and we genuinely couldn't manage without her!
Initially we found her when I was pregnant and we met with her when our little girl was a few months old. We did A LOT of research and felt she was the most qualified and experienced in our area. I felt like arranging childcare for my eventual return to work was just something that needed to be done and I assumed I'd feel really anxious about having to leave her. I was shocked to find that after the first time we met Jenny, I was actually excited to take my little girl there as I knew she'd love it and be well looked after.
One of the biggest reasons we chose Jenny is her calm, relaxed attitude towards caring for the children. I can only assume that comes from all the years experience she has! You can tell the children are really a part of her extended family and she talks about them with such pride.
Jenny was so accommodating when I asked if we could increase the days our daughter goes, in line with work commitments. I am so glad that our girl gets to go more frequently, because she loves it! Jenny and her have such a lovely bond.
Everyone tells you that you need a village when you have a baby, but, unfortunately our friends and family do not live near us. Jenny has become our village and we couldn't ask for more!

My 2.5 yr old little girl has been going since September 2021, and I can honestly say she loves being there. She gets up every morning looking forward to go. Jen is the most heartwarming, welcoming person and her environment is such a loving, caring space for her. She has come on so well and Jen does everything she can for her. I really wish she could stay here for ever.

I looked at different childminders before coming to Jenny and none made me feel more relaxed than she did about putting my son in her care when I returned to work.
My little boy loves going there and I love dropping him off knowing that he is getting everything he needs both developmentally and emotionally. I am updated on how my son is doing all the time and nothing is too much to ask.
My personal circumstances changed after my son started with Jenny and not only has she supported my son through a big change in his life she had also supported me, something I will forever be grateful for. This to me is very important to have a comfortable and understanding relationship with your childcare provider.
The setting is perfect for little ones and is very family orientated, being called 'home from home' could not be a more fitting name because that is exactly what it is.
I have nothing but positive words to say about Jenny and also Hannah her assistant!

Our little girl started at Home from Home Childminding in Feb 2018. I came across Jenny on childcare.co.uk whilst pregnant and not long after our little girl was born we visited. As soon as we met Jenny, Hannah and saw the interactions with the children, we knew instantly that our baby girl wouldn’t be going anywhere else. I can’t put into words the feeling other than to say when you know you know, It really is the hardest thing to do to leave your whole world in the trust of someone else. Both Jenny and Hannah truly understand and value the enormity that this is for each parent and do all they can to make the transition as smooth as possible for both child and parent. Jenny and Hannah don’t operate a ‘one size fits all’ but a supportive homely learning environment which is exactly why we chose a childminder over a nursery and subsequently, Home from Home Childminding. We receive regular updates, photos, crafts, favourite toys/books to loan, developmental updates, the list is endless. Jenny, Hannah and their families are a true extended family to all the children who attend and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We couldn’t be happier at all the learning, love and laughter our little girl has whilst in Jenny’s care. THANK YOU X

My little boy has been with Jenny since July and has come on so well already I was struggling getting him to walk or even crawl but since he's been at Jenny's he picked up so quick. Also worried about leaving him after going back to work but Jenny made sure I was at ease and text me pictures and let me know how he was getting on. There always doing something fun and my little boy absolutely loves going to Jenny's. Couldn't recommend Jenny highly enough always supportive and gives helpful advice x

Jenny is absolutely fantastic. She provides a loving, safe, friendly and exciting environment for my little boy. My little boy dances on the doorstep whenever we go to Jenny's house, eager to get inside and see what interesting activities and delicious food she has prepared for him! Jenny always puts the needs of each child first, treating them as individuals at all times. At the end of each day, Jenny spends time with me to discuss what my little boy has been doing, how he has been feeling and how he has progressed with his learning - unlike a lot of settings where there is no time to share this much detail. Jenny always provides a wide range of educational activities, to name but a few; baking, cutting and sticking, music, dance, painting, nature walks in the park, trips to local singing groups etc. My little boy has a wonderful time and is always provided with balanced, nutritional meals (and usually has second helpings as he loves the food so much!). I am extremely impressed with the care and learning experiences that Jenny provides for my little boy, firstly as a Mum, but also as a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. My little boy's attention, social skills and language skills have blossomed since he started going to Jenny's house.
Jenny always goes above and beyond what is expected of a childminder, and is incredibly flexible. We recently moved house and Jenny was able to look after my baby girl for the morning, at very short notice. This shows how flexible and understanding Jenny is.
I feel incredibly lucky to have found Jenny, as our family couldn't cope without her!

My daughter started to go to jennys last september as I work with children kyself I know how hard it would be to leave my own child. I however am truly grateful to jenny as my little girl loves going and I can see she really enjoys it which makes me feel so much better knowing im going to work but shes having just as much fun if not more being with jenny through the day. Jenny provides excellect care and quality for all children she cares for with a wide range of fun and exciting activities to help children grow and develop. My daughter has made lots of new friends and i have enjoyed getting to know the parents which jenny encourages which is a lovely idea. Jenny is a must for any parent looking for a new childminder within this area.

Jenny is an outstanding child minder and my son adores her. He is always happy to be in her care and he comes home content and chilled out. Jenny is always taking him on little trips to soft play centres and parks and she had an amazing range of toys for kids to play with that develop their skills. I couldn't ask for better care for my son.
