About Me & My Setting:
I truly love what I do—and that joy is reflected in how happy and settled the children are in my care. I’m calm, attentive, and passionate about creating a space where every child feels seen, safe, and inspired to explore.
As a mum myself and an experienced childcare professional, I understand how important it is to feel confident in who’s caring for your child. I aim to be a calm, consistent presence and to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents.
My home features a large, dedicated playroom filled with age-appropriate toys, open shelving, and invitations to play that spark curiosity and imagination. There’s also plenty of room to roam indoors, plus a large, enclosed private garden where children enjoy outdoor adventures, messy play, and nature-based activities.
As an Ofsted-registered Early Years Practitioner, I plan age-appropriate activities to gently support your child’s emotional, educational, and physical development in a warm, nurturing environment.

My Experience
I have over 7 years of professional childcare experience running a successful wraparound care service from my home. During this time, I’ve cared for children of all ages and needs, including babies, toddlers, and school-aged children.
I’m Ofsted-registered, paediatric first aid trained, and hold an enhanced DBS certificate. I regularly update my training and plan age-appropriate activities that gently support children’s emotional, social, physical, and educational development.
My Qualifications
Ofsted-registered with Enhanced DBS. Paediatric First Aid trained. Completed courses in Understanding and Working with the EYFS, Recording Children’s Development, Safeguarding Children, and Developing Children’s Learning. I also hold a BA Honours degree in Business Studies.
My Availability
I am available during both term time and school holidays, with current availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Other days may be available upon request—please feel free to ask.

Our daughter has been going to Alex's for nearly 2 school years. If I pick my daughter up earlier than usual from Alex's, she (my daughter, not Alex) frowns at me and says "daddy, why did you pick me up early?". Later that evening, I'll get a polite reminder never to do it again, even if I've taken an afternoon off work to take her for an ice cream. This pretty much sums it up - she would live there 24/7 if she could... and I don't blame her. Alex cooks home-cooked food, has a lovely, light and airy house and garden and - crucially - seems to have the patience of a saint. It's incredibly comforting knowing that while we're at work, our daughter is living her best life - and we're incredibly grateful to Alex for that. If I ever get reincarnated, I hope my childhood involves a stint at Alex's.

My two children have been with Alex for a number of years now. The set-up at her home is just fantastic - so many toys, crafts and lots of outdoor space. The new addition of Pepper the puppy has really been the icing on the cake for them!
Alex is very friendly and approachable should you ever need to discuss something. You can tell she takes an active interest in all the children's well being and development.
Her home cooked vegetarian meals, often followed by fruit or Greek yoghurt with honey mean they’ve got a nutritious, filling meal before they come home.

Would highly recommend Alex. She has the most welcoming and nurturing environment and is full of creative ways to blend learning and play.
My little boy settled in straight away and would come home buzzing from his time with her.
I would book Alex again in a heart beat.

Alex has looked after our 9 month old daughter a few times. She is absolutely amazing and has a warm and caring personality. She has a beautiful home with a safe and nurturing environment. She also keeps us regularly posted of how the baby is doing and that is a lovely touch. One can’t ask for more in a childminder.

Our daughter has been regularly cared for by Alex since starting reception last year and I can honestly say, she is exceptional. She takes a genuine interest in my daughter's wellbeing, emotionally and academically, offering proactive ideas and suggestions to support her. She clearly loves childminding and invests time & energy in her own training & development. She has become an invaluable support and my daughter loves her! Would highly recommend.

My two children have been with Alex for over two years and thoroughly enjoy their time in her care. There’s always plenty of activities and Alex ensures these are catered for all age groups: these vary at each setting so the kids always remain entertained. When I was working in London and needed extra flexibility Alex always tried her best to accommodate our needs which was super helpful.

Our daughter has been going to Alex's for wrap around care for nearly two years now and our son will be joining from September. Alex is such a lovely person, really kind, caring and fun, our daughter loves going to her house before and after school. Alex provides lovely home cooked meals and does all sorts of fun crafty and messy play activities with the kids, she also has a great selection of toys and dressing up which they love. We highly recommend Alex for wrap around care :-)

Alex has been looking after our daughter for almost two years, since she started in Reception. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to other families. She’s great fun, as well as supportive and just the right amount of strict so the kids know to behave with her. She keeps us updated as parents, and critically she really cares about the children. She is so inventive and imaginative with games. She has tons of educational toys so she has also really helped with reading, writing and counting. She looks after our daughter 4 days a week after school and occasionally during holidays too.
She cooks healthy meals, takes the kids out for fresh air and she is very flexible with us as working parents. She’s just brilliant!

Alex has surpassed our expectations in providing wrap-around and holiday care for our eldest daughter. It speaks volumes that our daughter asks every day if she can go to Alex’s house!
Alex provides a fun and caring environment and a flexible and supportive approach to childcare. We could not rate her highly enough.

Alex has been providing wrap around care for our daughter over the past year and we are thrilled to have found her. She's very caring, creative, dedicated and professional and the space she has created for the children in her home is wonderful. It's a fun, loving and calm atmosphere where my daughter loves to spend time and I am very happy to leave her. I value the fact that Alex is very transparent and supportive of us as parents; I trust her judgement and sense of fairness implicitly. A lot of heart goes into everything she does and the whole family adores her.
