About Me
At Jo-Jo's Childcare standards are high and a quality service is offered. The needs of the child is paramount from their 'Learning' to their 'Wellbeing'. All indoor learning takes place in a large playroom which lets in lots of natural light. Here different themes each term are used to promote the EYFS teaching. I am fortunate enough to be in close proximity to the many outdoor facilities that can all be reached within a short walking distance from my setting. My aim is to provide an environment where children can feel happy and safe and can thrive through all areas of their development. All healthy snacks and meals are also provided.
As well as a Child Care Educator, I am also a Mum who appreciates the importance of finding the right setting for their child. Yes, I have also been in your shoes. Researching the many Childminders/Nurseries that were available to me, and I understand what the expectations of a parent are when looking for a setting for their child.
My Experience
As a Childminder and a qualified Nursery Nurse I have over 28yrs experience working within Early Years. From supporting children who have additional needs in Schools and Nurseries to Nannying in private homes. I have upgraded my knowledge by attending the relevant courses available to me which inform on any government changes which all Child Care Educators need to know. My career has also enabled me to learn and work alongside other professionals such as Teachers, Educational psychologists, Speech & Language Therapists plus many more.

Jojo looked after our little boy for 2 years, from 8 months to 2.5yrs. He started in between lockdowns and I couldn't have wished for a better person to look after him. He grew into a confident little boy and developed his language and social skills. Jo would send us daily updates about his activities and meals, and helped us through developmental milestones. She was reassuring at a time where we were far from family, and I miss our little chats!
Jo has her own children after school and they're absolutely wonderful with babies and toddlers.

Jo Jo had our son from age 1 and we were so happy with her. She has a small setting which we found to be a really great transition from being at home and we loved the home from home environment.
She sent updates every day of what he had eaten (amazing meal options!) and he always came home clean (absolute miracle for our little one!) and we just knew we could trust her.
Her calm and confident manner really helped with any wobbles too :)

Jo Jo helped make the transition to childcare very calm and easy for all of us. Our baby took very little time to settle in with her and now cries when she has to leave! Jo Jo is very kind and warm and has developed a lovely bond with our daughter, as have her two very sweet children. She always finds interesting and varied activities to fill the days and frequently takes our little girl on local trips and to explore different surroundings. Jo Jo creates very nutritious and tasty sounding meals and quickly understands our daughter’s likes and dislikes. She always gives us full written reports on our daughter’s day and keeps us very involved in her progress and needs, even sending photos during the day. We both feel that our baby has developed so much over the last few months and that Jo Jo has really contributed to that. We would very happily recommend Jo Jo to anyone looking for a warm, professional, experienced and friendly childminder.

JoJo is so understanding and caring.
She has excellent excellent communication skills.
She is fantastic with the children.
My daughter loves her and looks forward to going everytime.
She does lots of different activities learning wise and fun for the children.

JoJo's childcare provision stands out above the rest. We visited lots of childminders and nurseries but knew as soon as we met Jo that she was the ideal childminder for us. She is warm and bubbly and instantly makes you feel welcome. Our shy and clingy son has taken a real shine to her and constantly asks for 'JoJo' when he's not there!
Jo was really caring and understanding during the settling in process and provided regular updates on WhatsApp on how our son was doing after drop off and during his time there, which really put our mind at ease. She provides a great range of healthy food and snacks that is included in the price. Jo takes the children out to the local park and stay and plays so they regularly go outdoors and play in a variety of ways.
Our son started potty training soon after starting at Jo's. She's been incredibly supportive and patient during this big developmental transition, which we've particularly valued.
Jo is an excellent childminder and I highly recommend her.

Where to begin?! Jo is wonderful and I have been extremely happy with how our little one has settled in and thrived. Jo is so caring, personable and gentle our little one immediately warmed to her. I can't recommend Jo highly enough.
Jo sends photos and updates from the day which is something Ive really valued. Our little one also has her own book in which Jo gives an impressive daily run-down on activities and developmental progress in addition to updates on naps, meals, drinking, and nappies.
Our daughter is vegan and Jo whipped up a storm in the kitchen, she totally took this in her stride and gave her a great variety of healthy meals. I only wish I could eat at Jo's too!
Jo regularly takes the children out to the local park and local children's centre, she also has has a big selection of books and toys available to stimulate the children and enable them to learn through play.
As I said, Jo is wonderful and can't recommend her highly enough.

My 20months old daughter was reserved, clingy but quite that found it really hard to adjust to change or adapt to other kids, since she has started going to Jo-Jo Childcare, I’ve seen a massive difference, she’s happy/bubbly, talking clearly and interacting a lot, she’s come out of her shell, Joanne has been doing a very good job providing that home to home experience, one to one learning and care, she gives my daughter the support she needs and healthy meals every day, I really don’t have to worry when I’m away from my daughter and if I am for any reason or just checking up on her I get reassurance from Joanne whether via text, phone call from my daughter or videos, I would recommend her to anyone, one of the best in our local community .
Really pleased with the manners and service I have received so far.
