About Me
My name is Clare Munro, I am an Ofsted registered Childminder, Childcare by Clare.
I am an experienced childcare provider professionally and personally having 4 daughters and 2 grandsons.
My Experience
I worked at Hawley Place School for 14 years as a TA and ELSA, in that time I have worked alongside Maths, English, Science, RE, Geography, Music, Drama, PE, French, Art and Forset school teachers. I have supported children in Nursery, KS1, KS2 & KS3. I have supported children with SEND and complex medical needs such as diabetes, epilepsy and anaphylaxis.
I consider it a privilege to have supported so many children through their first experiences of learning.
After having a baby in 2018, I replaced teacher training with, training to Childmind through The Professional Association of Childcare and Early Years (PACEY) and I love it!
I have blended my school background with my home to create a structured day with enriching experiences in a homely environment.
Each week is planned and influenced by the season, the weather, national celebrations, the children's personal interests and linked to the 7 areas of learning in the EYFS curriculum (2024).
Throughout the week, there is a balance of adult led activities and child led play. I am passionate about educating children but above all, I love getting down to their imaginative level to play.

I use / teach Makaton to help pre verbal children communicate their needs, in addition to visual pictures.
I always carry out risk assessments to ensure I am aware of what the hazards are, and the control measures I need to put in place in order to reduce any risks to a low risk. I have comprehensively risk assessed my setting, toddler groups, getting in and out of my car and trips out.
Parents are welcome to view my risk assessments, Policies, qualifications and Enhanced DBS checks for myself and my husband.
I have a full clean driving licence with business insurance and public liability insurance through Childcare.co.uk.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.22 per hour
£7.22 per hour 8am to 4pm to include;
8am - breakfast
10am - fruit snack/ milk and story.
12pm - Lunch
2pm - milk and story.
4pm - snack

My little boy is lucky enough to go to Clare for childminding. He's so happy going that when I pull up up to her house his little arms and legs go wild and he makes the sound of her doorbell. She does so many fun and educational activities with the children that he's developing into a chatty, adventurous toddler. It's clear that she loves her job and her warmth and wonderful approach she has with the children is so reassuring to see as a parent. I would not hesitate to recommend her for your little one.

Clare is the most thoughtful, thorough and creative childminder, our children loved being with her and made such brilliant developments under her care. Clare made such a huge effort to create an amazing atmosphere for the children to thrive in, she was so reassuring and reliable, we can’t thank Clare enough for the amazing work she did with our children.

As a mum with a SEN child I could not thank Clare enough for what she has done and continues to do for our little boy . She is just amazing beyond words. Clare goes above and beyond to help in any way she can. Clare is the most honest,thoughtful& caring lady and genuinely cares for the children with a lovely home and family and anyone that is able to get a space with her is very very lucky . I wish our little boy could stay forever x

Clare looked after my 5 year old. I have never met an amazing person like Clare. I would say she is outstanding, she loves her job, she is pure. She helped my daughter with all her homework Professional, she would assist my daughter with a bath or shower put her pj's when i pick her she is ready for bed. Clate would attend all my daughter's school activities when im working. i would recommend anybody to Clare as she is amazing. She has taught my daughter so many things like baking. My daughter Loves Clsre to bits and she holds a special place in my daughter's heart as she always talks about her even myself Clare holds a special place in my heart with the way she cated for mu daughter.

For all you mums looking for a kind reliable trust worthy person to look after and take care of your little ones look know further, this lady is incredible Clare has been a god send to me. Clare is exceptional. I've used a few people to help me with my 4 children in the past and They have been a real disappointment. I'll never find another person like Clare she really has restored my faith. I will continue to use Clare to look after my children. Most importantly my children love Clare and since being with her has massively improved with there speech and general learning.

Clare look out after my 2 children. She’s the most kindest person. My son is autistic and she was amazing with him, very calm and with my daughter as well. My kids absolutely loved Clare and for sure we’ll calling her again. I highly recommend her to anyone. Thanks a lot.
