About Me
Hi! My name is Alana, I am 40 years old and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder. Jimmy is my husband, he is 38 years old and is my Childminding assistant.
We have 3 Beautiful children together, 2 sons and 1 daughter, a very big soft friendly dog (American Akita) who is 8.
(We always Introduce Foxy (Our Dog) Slowly to the child/children) and we also have an African Grey parrot called Charlie.
We live just at the back of Seymour Road Academy.

In our environment we aim to have a home from home setting, somewhere the children can come, feel comfortable and be themselves.

Amazing childminders with so much heart and caring mindset. It’s wonderful seeing our son get excited about going to Alana and James. They really make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualised way.
Also there children are absolutely great with my son, he loves playing with them.
Would definaltly recommend.

My daughter attended Alana’s childminder for over 4 years and she loved it.
Both Alarna and Jimmy really welcomed my daughter into their home and treated her like part of the family.
She did lots of fun activities, trips out, learning skills and really became a confident child after being there.
Alana helped me out loads with her flexibility and also welcomed me in to her family.
Alana and Jimmy are very supportive and you feel at ease talking to them both. My daughter loved her time with Alana and Jimmy and was sad when I no longer required there service, I keep in contact with them now as they have become friends of us both.
I would highly recommend Alana to anyone who is looking for the best childminding service.

My daughter has been going to Alana & Jimmys after school for over 3 years now. They do lots of creative/ fun activities. My daughter especially enjoys all the messy activities like Slime making/ painting etc that she always doesn’t get to do at home. I feel relaxed at work knowing my daughter is in a happy safe friendly environment where I know if she just wants to chill and relax after school she can. Alana & Jimmy have always been very chatty. Helpful and approachable. If you are looking for breakfast/ after school pick up from Seymour road or school holiday care for your child I highly recommend them. Carlie x

Both my children have attended Alana’s and they loved it!
Alana and Jim are so active with the children and easily engage and make them feel at home.
Alana was so flexible with my children and I and the needs for the children and really went above and beyond! My children loved their time with Alana and were sad when I no longer required the service.
My children always left happy and always felt safe while in Alana and Jim’s care.
I would happily recommend Alana’s childminding to anyone looking for a local childminder and have done to friends and family looking who went on to use her services.
