About Me
I've worked with children for twenty eight years and am a mum to five children of my own age 25, 24, 20, 17 and 4 years. I'm half way through studying towards my Early Years Teacher Status. My qualifications include - NVQ 3 Childcare and Education, Advanced Diploma (Level 4) in Childcare and Education, BA Open Degree (Childhood Studies, Children's Literature, English Language & Leadership and Management), CACHE Level 2 Mental Health, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Child Protection and many more short courses. I have just returned to childminding after a break when our youngest child was born. I work alongside my husband who is also a registered childminder & our 3 daughters who are registered assistants. I am a qualified children's yoga instructor and have completed courses in mindfulness based art & therapeutic art activities and enjoy incorporating this in my practice.
My Experience
In the evenings I manage a crisis mental health drop in service based in Margate. Over the past 26 years my roles have included childminding, managing a nursery, working as a nursery and reception class teacher, managing a refuge for women and children fleeing domestic abuse, facilitating therapeutic programmes for refugee and asylum seeker children and young people, working as a SENCO and behaviour lead, designated child protection officer and Assistant Head of Year.
My Qualifications
BA Open Degree (Childhood Studies, Children's Literature, English Language, Leadership and Management).
Advance Diploma in Childcare and Education (Level 4).
NVQ 3 Childcare and Education.
Children's Yoga Teaching.
Level 3 Diploma in Tackling and preventing Domestic and Sexual Abuse.
CACHE Level 2 in Mental Health Awareness.
Level 2 Certificate in Food Hygiene.
Pediatric First Aid.
Child Protection for Designated Officers.
Restorative Justice for Children and Young People.
Working with Attachment and Trauma.
Skills to Foster
Introduction to Art Therapy
Providing Clinical Supervision

My Availability
We have 1 full time space available Monday to Friday.
We also have After School Club availability with pick ups from Drapers Mills.
As we take the children out quite a lot we don't offer half days.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.50 per hour
- Childminding from £6.25 per hour
Childminding fees:
£6.25 per hour.
£5.25 per hour for 5years & over.
£7.50 per hour for unsociable hours.
£5 per pick up/drop off per child.
£15 Breakfast club & school drop off (from 7am).
£15 After school care (includes pick up, up to two hours childcare & dinner)
Holiday Club - £28 per day which includes lunch & dinner (day rate applies to ages 5 & up only).

Julia and her family provided a warm and loving home to our one year old son Rudie. We found them to be professional, reliable and very flexible to our needs. Rudie settled quickly and was very happy in their care. We would have kept him with Julia and her family longer if we could have done.

Thank you for taking the time to do this. We absolutely adore Rudie and will all miss him terribly.
Our little boy has been with Julia since January 2019. They really helped him to settle and feel safe with them quickly! They are really accommodating when we need to change days or hours at short notice and nothing is ever too much trouble! They set out the perfect activities that they know your child enjoys and encourage them to interact with other children and try new things every day. Our little boy loves going to "school" and hates leaving! I knew from the first time of speaking to Julia that this was the perfect place for my son to attend and I am not wrong. You are regularly updated with photos and write ups of what they have been up to and the days out offered are fabulous too! Our son has developed a lot since being with Julia and her family and it amazing to see such a high quality of care given.

My doughter is with Julia and her family 2 day per week. She is extremely patient and great with children. Nikola is to love going to her place and was so excited to see her every morning. She loves the trip with Mat- Julia husband.
Also Julia is realy open and helpful.
I would defiitely recommend Julia and her family.
