About Me
Welcome to 2 Little Ducks!
We are Katie and Becky and are based in Ripponden. We provide childcare to suit your little ones needs.
We are co-childminders working from the same home. We are both Ofsted registered and hold enhanced DBS certificates.
We both have degrees in business and enjoy putting our business knowledge into something we are passionate about.
We have known each other for over 20 years and have worked together in a previous role for over 7 years and therefore have a great friendship and work relationship.
My Experience
We have worked hard to create a setting which your children will enjoy and we have put a lot of time and effort into our training.
We registered in 2018 and we have received an outstanding grading at our recent ofsted inspection in August 2021.
We both have EYFS level 3 as well as many more areas of training and qualifications which can be viewed at our setting.
We both have children of our own with age ranges of newborn to 9 years giving us first hand experience.
My Qualifications
EYFS level 3, Safeguarding, Paediatric first aid level 3, Food hygiene, both educated to degree level BA Hons in business. We continually develop our knowledge and undergo a number of courses which can be viewed in person in our portfolio.
We have recently completed the EYPDP building on success course.
My Availability
We have different cost packages available keeping our costs competitive.
Our working hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am-5.30pm.
We currently drop off and pick up from Ripponden J&I. Other schools and preschools will be considered.

Full day offered. Early pick up discount available. Please contact us for different cost packages.

I have used a range of childcare providers over several years (my oldest of 6 is 22), and by comparison 2 Little Ducks is by far my favourite. Katie and Becky are warm and friendly, and do everything they can to ensure that my 1 year old is comfortable, happy and safe.
My son is always happy to arrive there and is well-fed, clean and in a pleasant mood when I pick him up.
During the day they take the children on trips to places like Eureka and the local play parks, and they go for regular walks. Every day is varied and the children are provided with a range of learning opportunities and experiences, which are well documented. You are informed throughout the day of all relevant activity such as nappy changes, feeding and sleeps, Katie and Becky provide a daily stream of photos, and have always respond to my messages within a few minutes.
We had several lengthy settling-in sessions, the sign-up process was simple and straightforward, and the initial paperwork was comprehensive but not complicated.
When I drop my son off in the morning, I can get on with my day in the knowledge that he is in a safe, positive and stimulating environment.
I cannot recommend these two ladies enough.
