About Me
I am a 45 year old mother of two children at 11 year old girl and a 6 year old boy. We live off Burton road with my Husband Ben. I have been working within the childcare industry for the last 23 years. I’ve worked as a nanny, and in nursery’s. My last position was a deputy manager at a lincoln based nursery for 14 years. After the birth of my second child I decided to go into childminding. I’ve been doing childminding since June 2018 and really enjoying it. I have had a recent inspection which I was graded outstanding this can be emailed to you on request. As I have a background in childcare I have a good understanding of the curriculum and development miles stones. I feel it’s a privilege to look after other people’s children. We have lots of trips to local farms, parks and playgroups. I always aim to create a fun, homely, happy, caring environment for your child to grown and develop.
My Experience
I began to realise I loved being around children when my mother became a childminder as me and my brothers were growing up. I realised how rewarding working with children was and decided from leaving school this is what I wanted to do for my career. I feel passionate about treating each child as an individual and empowering them in their abilities and self confidence as they grow. Straight from school I embarked on collage. After college I became a nanny for a local family whom I’m still very close to. I then worked in 3 nurseries around the Lincoln area. My last job as a Deputy Manager at Heath Farm lasted 14 years. I decided to leave to become a childminder to suit the current needs of my children and to do a job I love from home.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I do not offer an hourly rate, just a day rate of £49 for a full day 7.30am -5.30pm this includes breakfast, snack and a cooked meal for Dinner. I also include entrances to playgroups, places of interest. As a childminder I have a passion for being outdoors and feel this is such an important part of learning and development and excellent for the mind and body. We visit the local parks and outdoor spaces on a weekly basis. We also love building den making areas in the woods and go on nature walks at the nature reserve.

My son has been going to Michelle since he was 9 months old. He doesn’t even say bye to me, he can’t get out of the car quick enough, he just loves it at Michelle’s.
Every day he is taken out somewhere to do activities. He has so much fun. He always wants to stay for tea time so we sometimes let him join in on the fun! When it comes to pick up time he doesn’t want to leave.
I’ve always said it to Michelle but I don’t know how you do it! You’re so calm & organised even when you’ve got maximum attendance. Thank you Michelle. I can’t wait for my daughter to start with you & grow up with you from next year. Hayley x

I have been taking my daughter to Michelle for nearly a month now and she is absolutely loving it.
Michelle is a gentle person, speaks calmly to my daughter, understands her needs and listens.
She takes the children to play groups, outings and gives them healthy meals for tea time.
She’s a lovely person, brilliant with my daughter and I know this because every week when I say, we’re off to see Michelle! She has a huge grin on her face and gets so excited.
I would recommend Michelle if you need a childminder, I’m so glad I made the right choice.
