About Me
My name is Lyndsey and I have worked as a Childminder in Hedge End since 2013.
Working from home, I run a friendly, professional childminding service wherein nurture, learning and fun are at the forefront of my daily practice.
I have a large, air-conditioned playroom at the rear of my house, which allows for free flow garden activities. In the garden I have numerous outdoor toys including swings, slides, trikes, sand pit, water tray and a two-story wooden Wendy house! As well as planting and caring for fruit and vegetables such as potatoes, blueberries and strawberries.
I am always mindful of providing a wide variety of learning opportunities and regularly carry out creative crafts, cookery, games, and role play activities. I hold annual passes for Manor Farm and Milestones Museum. I also visit local parks, libraries, soft play centres and other places of local interest such as Pickwell Farm to pick fruit and Vegetables, Victoria Country Park, Itchen Valley country Park, Bishops Waltham Palace and Netley Abbey.
My aim is always to work alongside, and in partnership with parents and children. Building strong relationships with mutual respect.

My Experience
I have been an Ofsted Registered Childminder since 2013.
Previous to this I worked as a Primary School teacher for 15 years. Before this as Playworker for play schemes in and around Southampton.
Whilst teaching I worked as a Special Educational needs co ordinator for 6 years and then as a manager in a children’s Speech, Language and Communication Provision.
My experience has given me a fantastic foundation for childminding and I have been able to bring much previous and valuable knowledge to my childminding role, whilst also continually learning from all the wonderful children I care for!
