Hello, my name is Laura. I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in Linthorpe, Middlesbrough.
I offer home from home childcare where children can play and learn in a fun and caring environment. I have a wide range of toys and resources that are suitable for all ages and stages and we also enjoy cooking and craft activities. I have a large enclosed garden with with lots to explore including a playden, mud kitchen, sand and water play, climbing and balancing equipment, ride-ons and much more!
I also use the local environment to extend the children’s experiences for example; visits to museums, libraries, music groups, playgroups, soft play, parks, woodlands and beaches.
My Experience
Before becoming a childminder, I was a primary school teacher for 14 years, specialising in early years. I have always loved working with and caring for children and all of my training has been focused towards this.
I feel privileged to be able to play a part in guiding the learning and development of the children I care for and I enjoy planning exciting opportunities to support their next steps. I love to see the children having fun and exploring new things.
As a mother myself, I understand what a big decision it is to find the right childcare for your child, and I aim to provide as smooth a transition as possible for the children I care for, helping them to feel safe, cosy and happy in my home.

From the moment my son started with Laura he loved every minute! She is so warm, friendly and caring, it’s a real home from home. Laura provides so many fun activities and experiences for him and I have seen such a difference in his confidence and his speech since he has been going to her, she’s fantastic! I know my son is very well cared for and loved by Laura and I could not have asked for a better childminder. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Laura approached me on the website and was really friendly. I took my son and myself to meet her and we both felt comfortable within her company. Beautiful house/environment and I know my child’s safe within her care. Laura would message if she needed any help with my child also after he has been to her house, he had a handover wrote in his own book which includes activities throughout the day, feeds, food etc. Laura has had my son in her care for 3 months now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. She’s absolutely fantastic, and my son loves her!
