Hi, I'm Helen. I live in Redhouse, Swindon with my partner and two children.I have a daughter aged 15 and a son aged 10.
I have been childminding since July 2006. I have had three ofsted inspections and both were graded as good with some outstanding qualities.
I provide an exciting, happy, safe environment for children to play and learn. At the moment I have children aged 14months to 11 years in my care.
My Experience
As well as having my own children, I have cared for 56 children since being registered.
I am a member of the professional association for childcare and early years. I am also registered with Swindon Borough Council and accept 2, 3 and 4 year old funding.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in children's care learning and development.
Early Years Foundation Stage trained.
Birth to Three and Senior birth to three.
First aid trained

Helen has been fantastic for our kids and would wholeheartedly recommend her. She combines the flexibility and convenience of a childminder with the fun and social interaction of a nursery. Her setting is nice and has a garden full of activities for the little ones, but she also takes the kids out and about all the time, which is so great. Communication has always been excellent and very quick. The kids will definitely miss Helen very much and so will we

Helen is an amazing person. She has been a God sent into our lives.
When things got tough with the pandemic she was helpful, caring and flexible with the childcare.
Totally exceed my expectations! 😊
My son loved going to Helen's setting. He had lots of fun and made lots of friends.

We had our 2 year old with Helen for a couple of months but it felt like she had been there for ages. Helen was great with communication and never failed to let us know any necessary information regarding our daughter. She was always excited to go into Helen's setting and she grew tremendously as a result; she started saying more words and got really good at identifying things and asking questions. It was such a bummer when we had to move our daughter out due to relocation. We are still missing Helen's childminding as it's been hard replacing that for our daughter. We would highly recommend Helen's service to any parent wanting a setting for their child where there's definitely an assurance of growth and your peace of mind. Well done Helen and we wish you and your setting well.

Our Son has been going to Helens for many years now and he absolutely loves going. He’s made lots of friends across different ages and genuinely looks forward to going to Helens every time.
Helen provides a variety of activities, both indoor and out and has a highly entertaining and engaging setting.
Helen couldn’t do anymore for our Son and we’d be lost without her. We’re very lucky to have found such a caring, honest and outstanding childminder.

I really can’t recommend Helen highly enough. Our boys were 2 and 3 when they first met Helen. That was nearly 3 years ago. Not one day has gone by when they are not happy and excited to see her. She helped with their learning and development from a young age, providing a wide range of daily activities. I feel entirely comfortable leaving them in her setting, which is safe and welcoming. It’s also a huge help that she cooks them healthy meals and gives them plenty of time outdoors, playing in the garden or taking them to the park.
Helen is professional, knowledge and and an outstanding choice for anyone needing child care.

Our 3yr old has been with Helen for over a year now and we have only the utmost respect and high praise for the work she does. Helen comes highly recommended, is the consummate professional, very welcoming, caring and our children absolutely adore her.
Helen has a fantastic safe home environment and I'm sure our son enjoys being there more than he does at home! Helen provides a wide range of activities for the children, trips out and educational learnings.
Like alot of children, our son seeks continued stimulation and engagement and Helen certainly caters for all his needs so well.
Amazing childminder - We cannot recommend Helen highly enough!

Both of our kids LOVE being at Helen’s setting and we believe we have been very lucky to find such an outstanding childminder. It’s home from home. My eldest is now five and very much enjoys going there whenever he has an inset day at school. My youngest is nearly 3 and is always delighted at spending the day there. Helen is very welcoming, children are always engaged, stimulated, and play happily together in a range of ages. We can not recommend her highly enough!

My 3 year old daughter and 5yr old son have been going to Helen for over a year now in the half terms only and all I can say is that she is an excellent childminder and my children adore her. Both my children are extremely happy when they go there and it really is like a home from home setting which is what I was looking for. Helen always makes them feel welcome and my two children get on very well with Helen and her own children. She has a wide range of activity's for the different ages of the children. I would highly recommend her to anyone as she is simply great person and an excellent childminder.

My 3 1/2 year old daughter has been with Helen for over a year now and I haven't got a bad word to say about her. Layla is extremely happy and it really is like a home from home setting which is what we have been looking for. Layla has progressed really significantly over the last year and Helen is to thank for this for spending so much time teaching her new things!!

Our two children were looked after by Helen one afternoon a week for the past 18 months. Helen makes everyone feel welcome and at home and she is able to cater for a wide age range of children at the same time. It was great knowing our children would be so well fed and looked after in a happy, caring and safe home environment. When our children liked different foods, Helen would always cook a variety of things to ensure all the children ate well. She would often take them to the park after school and encourages the children to play games together. Helen manages the behaviour of the children excellently, never shouting and always being firm but fair.
Alysa (age 9) said "Helen is fun and funny and always makes me smile."
Jamie (age 11) said "Helen is nice and is always there for us."
Jamie is Autistic (High Functioning) and really enjoyed playing with and helping to look after the toddlers in the house. Although sometimes he wanted to be on his own and Helen would always be understanding to Jamie's honesty and arrange for Jamie to have some time in another room.
We would definitely recommend Helen as an outstanding childminder.
