Hi
My names Jo and I have been an OFSTED registered childminder for 13 years. Graded Good in April 2015 and May 2017 and January 2023.
I live in a quiet cul-de-sac in Tuffley with my 2 children, aged 16 and 13 years.
I have a spacious home with 2 designated playrooms filled with lots of fun and educational toys. My garden is fully enclosed, secure and not overlooked. It has just been redesigned and is completely child friendly and fun :)
I have a full clean driving license and aim to offer children a home from home experience, making them feel happy, safe, comfortable and part of the family. We do lots of stimulating activities, have daily and weekly planning making everyday fun. We follow the EYFS and each child receives their own daily diary, learning journal scrapbook and development folder. We enjoy lots of daily activities and outings as well as lots of child led free play.
My Experience
My main of experience is that of my own 2 children and having a large family. I babysat for family and friends from a young age and did work experience in local nurseries and schools.
My Qualifications
I have completed my Induction into setting up my own childcare setting. I am Level 3 qualified, Paediatric 1st aid trained, Safeguarded trained, DBS checked and a member of PACEY.
My Availability
I take children from 2 months to 14 years. I have full time, Part time and Holiday positions available and do school drop off and collections from Tuffley Playgroup, Georges Playgroup and from Harewood Infant and Junior School.
My hours are 7.30 am - 5.30 pm Mon-Fri other hours can be pre-arranged, I work both term time and during school holidays.
I am situated off the main Bodium Avenue and am minutes from the main number 10 bus route.

My fees are £6.20 per hour and this includes snacks, drinks and meals.

Our 3 year old daughter has been going here since she was 6 months old. She absolutely loves it. Everyday is different and she especially loves the dress up days and PJ days!! We used a nursery with our older two kids and i would never go back to one now. Jo provides an excellent home from home experience and genuinely cares for all the children allowing they personalities to shine whilst encouraging their development. We highly recommend Jo and completely trust her.

My daughter has been going to Twinkle Tots since she was 8 months old. She settled in straight away and absolutely loves it there. There are always activities and days out planned for the little ones. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending twinkle tots to anyone looking for childcare.

Jo is a home from home setting and my 3 year old daughter absolutely loves going and has done since 9 months old. We came across Jo via here after a very bad experience with a local nursery. Jo helped us straight away and took away all the stress of being a first time mum and having to go back to work putting our daughter into a childminders. Jo is also very accommodating when we need last minute days covering.
