About Me
I am a registered Childminder offering a place where great minds are born and prepared for the next stages of their lives in a home from home nurturing environment, The age range I provide care for is birth - 3 years old. I am married with two children, a son who is 26 and a daughter who is 19. I also have an rabbit called Bailey. I’m very much an outdoors person and take children out daily where possible. Where not possible I have a dedicated garden for the children to play in. My rate includes wipes and meals unless child transitions onto 3 year funding where consumables are charged, details of which can be obtained from myself.
My Experience
First and foremost I have hands on experience as a parent and Auntie to my many nieces, nephews and God-children. For the last six years until end of September 2018 when I decided that I wanted to transfer my skills into my own setting I worked in a school environment as a teaching assistant and cover teacher. I had my grading inspection in September 2019 and 2022 and received OUTSTANDING on both occasions .
My Qualifications
I hold The Level 3 Home based childcare award, a degree in business studies, level 2 and 3 teaching assistant qualification.

My opening hours are Tuesday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm

Five Star Care to my 19 month old.. since September 2020 Joanne has been a fantastic part in my daughters daily life. My daughter is well looked after so I have peace of mind whenever she’s there. Joanne’s Care Setting is beautiful done with lots of creative scenery and activities for children to do of all ages.. my daughter participates in everything from painting, drawing, baking, being out in the garden visiting places such as the Botanical Gardens and the Helicopter Base; plus so much more.. Joanne sends updates throughout the day with photos and videos which me and my daughters father enjoy so very much.. Joannes high standard of care is very hard to come and we are just eternally grateful for her and her family. My daughter loves them all and enjoys their company!!!

My experience with Jo has been very postive she goes above and beyond to ensure that my daughter is cared for, nurtured and stimulated. Jo has a home from home feel but also works from an educational ethos and makes learning fun which is important to me. My child has settled in well with Jo and i feel that this is because she has been made to feel so welcome. I love that the children go on regular outings and are able to explore. As i am a working parent this is something i struggle with so knowing that she is able to do these outings makes it easier for me at work. Thank you for all your support and care. We look forward to continuing this journey with Blossoming Minds x

What a wonderful review, it is my absolute pleasure and I genuinely love all the children in my care and what I do. They make me who I am 🌸🌺🌼💜
My son has been with Jo for only a short period of time, however she has made him and me feel so at ease with this transition. She keeps me up to date throughout the day which is great, has a beautiful and clean home for all the kiddies to play in and plenty of toys and activities to keep your little ones entertained. If your looking for the best child minder then look no further! X

Jaiden started with Jo in october and has come on so much, his speech has devloped rapidly. He enjoys going out on trips, attending play groups and looks forward to going with jo daily which as made a huge difference to his social skills. I highly recommend Jo shes an outstanding childminder.
