About Me
Hi i am Nicola, i am married with two children Joseph and Megan.
I have just recently qualified as a childminder. I am NNEB qualified with over 15yrs experience.
I am situated in Fulwood, Preston, a semi rural lacation, in a semi detached family home with secure garden and child safety measures in place throughout the property. Inside the home, children are wecomed into a warm and secure enviroment with designated areas for play, quiet time and creative activities. The house is within walking distance to local amenities, parks, local libary, Toddler groups, leisure centre, and three schools.
I aim to provide high quality care and education for children. I aim to do this in a happy, safe and secure enviroment where all children, whatever their background, feel included and valued. I aim to build a positive relationship with parents in order to ensure a consistent approach is adopted and that the children thrive.
I will be working with the eyfs framework and i will provide enjoyable activities, i will also provide each child with a diary for parents take home.
I have a wide range of toys for school children and activities all age appropriate.
I will provide nutritional meals and healthy snacks and drinks. Discussion with parents will ensure that the childs dietry needs are met.

My Experience
I am NNEB qualified with over 15yrs experience in childcare. I began to work in a nursery where i was quickly promoted to the role of team leader in the baby room. I left the nursery to become a nanny for a 6 month old baby girl and continued in this capacity for the next 9 years eventually caring for 4 children ranging from newborn to 10yrs.
The scope of my role included providing nutritional home-made meals, age appropriate activities and regulary taking the children on outings that were both educational, fun and of intrest,caring for the children overnight.
For 12 months i worked on a voluntary basis in the reception class of a primary school, providing assistance to the head teacher in activities in class. During this time, i was asked to work on a 1-1 basis with a child with special educational needs.
After My Ofsted inspection in Oct 2017 I am an outstanding provider.
Just had Ofsted again july 2023 and was given an outstanding provider.

My Availability
I will provide flexible sessions, recognising the busy demands of working lives for all parents. Sessions can be as below or a mixture to meet the specific needs of parents.
Before school 7.30pm-9.00pm
After school 3.15pm-5.00pm
Full time 7.30am-5.00pm
Morning session 7.30am-12.30pm
Afternoon session 1.00pm-5.00pm
Sessions are availble Monday-Friday. Childcare is offered during school holidays and greater flexibilty is availible outside of core times (7.30am-5.00pm).
