Providing an atmosphere of love and warmth, where laughter surrounds the home, inspiring and nurturing the joy of learning through play. Your child will be respected and comforted as they enjoy endless activities that breathe in slow daily rhythms and routines, creating a calming but exciting and explorative flow to our days.
Our location is conveniently situated in the beautiful community of Bickley. Karen is a Ofsted registered childminder with 20 plus years’ of teaching and mentoring experience. Karen lives with her husband and son (DBS checked) and provides an atmosphere of love and warmth for all children in her care.
The childcare area is located on the ground floor and includes a playroom, a kitchen for meal preparation and messy play, and a downstairs toilet for easy access. The secured enclosed garden area provides space for gross motor activities such as tricycles and scooters, as well as open-ended learning resources to support safe risk-taking opportunities.
Home Sweet Home is conveniently, within walking distance to Pembroke Park, and Karen takes the children on regular outings to local libraries, shops, nature reserves, play and stays, visiting the elderly, planned trips and other childminders for recreation. Providing children with opportunities to socialise and learn from others in a safe and enjoyable environment(s).
Karen understands the importance of a healthy and nutritious diet, and therefore provides three balanced meals, snacks, milk, and water throughout the day.
To ensure that every child's development is continuously assessed and supported, Karen uses a database called Kinderly Together. This platform enables Karen to identify each child's strengths and next steps in development, engage with parents, and create magical moments through observations to help children flourish.
At Home Sweet Home, Karen strives to create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can thrive and grow. With her experience, love, and dedication to childminding, you can rest assured that your child is in the best possible hands enjoying every moment.
