Hi, I'm Janet, and I'm an Ofsted (rated 'Good') registered Childminder. I have an enhanced DBS clearance. I also hold a current paediatric first aid certificate. I'm a fun energetic person, and I offer a safe and secure stimulating environment for your little one. I understand that children learn through play, and this is where I place a major emphasis. I provide many activities such as messy play, arts & craft. I find caring for children very rewarding and have over 20 years experience doing so. I strive to offer all children in my care encouragement, love, and kindness. I regularly visit local playgroups, parks, libraries, and farms. I will celebrate and plan for festivals and other celebrations. I am aware that every child is unique therefore I will seek to cater for all dietary needs when requested. I am very professional and enthusiastic towards my work, providing a home away from home for every child. I am amenable to the needs of the parents as I fully understand the difficulties that can arise during a working life.
My Experience
I have gained experience caring for either my own children or through working with families with children. I have the knowledge to understand that for the children in my care, their welfare is paramount and also to pay close attention to their developmental needs. I started caring for children 20+ years ago in my career as a social worker. I now happily care for children in my home and have done so for over 5 years.

Janet has looked after both of our children. We have been so thankful for her and her family. They provide a safe and fun environment where our children have thrived. Janet will send us updates and videos of the day. Her flexibility is amazing and she has helped us a short notice many times! We really appreciate it and highly recommend her. Thank you!

Thank you Hannah. It's been so lovely looking after your little ones. They've both developed such joyous and confident personalities. It truly makes my day.
Both my daughters have been looked after Janet and we couldn't be happier. Janet is a warm and loving childminder who treats the kids with love and kindness. Her food is delicious and the kids are almost always outside enjoying the park that's directly behind her home.
We're so glad we found Janet and recommend her to everyone.

Our daughter was with Janet for 18 months and we have been so happy with Janet and her provision. My daughter B loved to go in each day, she never cried! Janet is very loving and caring with the children and it is clear the children feel safe with her. She gives a daily update on food, sleep and the activities and her communication was always very good. Janet gives the children a good, clear and consistent routine which again helps them to settle. I would 100% recommend and wish my daughter could have stayed for longer!

Our son Rhys was with Janet for almost a year and we can't recommend her highly enough. The children spend lots of time outdoors and the park next to her house is great. Our son loved running up and down "the mountain" (small hill) in the park and was always happy to be dropped off with Janet each morning. He was also a big fan of her home cooked food. Janet creates a great atmosphere and the children clearly love spending time with her and her daughters. Communication was easy and Janet was also very flexible. Thank you Janet!

Thank you so much. This means a lot to me. Really going to miss my little R.
My almost 3yrs old daughter did a week with Janet while I was away and seemed to be very happy / had no problems despite it being her first time away from my wife or I. Janet was very quick to answer any questions I had about how my daughter was doing and even provided updates each day in the form of pictures and videos as well as a summary of the activities and meals at the end of each day. Janet takes good care of her kids and her prices are very reasonable. I certainly recommend her and look forward to using her services again in the future!

My son absolutely loved his time at Janet’s. Janet is very caring and built a great bond with my son. He had lots of fun learning with the other children there and did a variety of activities every week. Janet is very welcoming and her place is right next door to a park which was perfect for my son as he loves exploring outside. Janet was also very flexible and helped us out a number of times, which was much appreciated. My son enjoyed the home cooked meals Janet provided ( more than the food we gave him at home sometimes!) I would definitely recommend Janet to anyone looking for a childminder in the area.

Janet is an amazing childminder, I really could not have hoped for anyone better to look after my son. He started with her at 18 months and is now nearly 2. He settled quickly in Janets children friendly home and has come on leaps and bounds in communicating and manners.
They are very active with the children in the park next to the house atleast twice a day and he is fed extremely well and comes home happy and chatty.
Janet is excellent at communicating with the children and parents and is going to help me potty train my son.
I really can not recommend Generation Stars enough I never worry about my son at all as I feel Janet is an excellent childminder and provides a safe and inclusive space for all ages of children.

My 15 month old daughter is with Janet full time (5 days a week) and we couldn't be happier. We actually had her down on a waiting list for a nursery but I'd prefer she stays with Janet and her wonderful daughters who assist her sometimes.
In the beginning my daughter would cry intermittently throughout the day (I know because Janet let me know) but now I struggle to scoop her up and take her home, she runs to Janet to keep playing!
Janet provides all of her meals, fees to the playgroups as well as a structured programme (our father's Day present was sorted).
We're so glad we found Generation Stars.
