About Me
Hello my name is Aoife. I am 29. I currently work in a Childrens Residential Home in Belfast. (Ages 11-18) There is a lot of diverse and inclusive needs within residential care, some more challenging than others but I love my job. I’ve always had a caring nature about me and have always known I’ve a passion for working with young people. I grew up in a big family and often babysit A LOT.
My Experience
I have experience with children from birth to eighteen. Relevant experience as a Nursery assistant based in the baby room and also the toddler room. Ive worked with young people in bespoke placements in England and Wales. Im now working in a childrens residential home - I’m often dealing with challenging behaviour and some of the young people have learning difficulties therefore I’m often multitasking and linking in with outside organisations in order to keep the young people safe. It can be intense but it is very rewarding. I have been babysitting on off between jobs for the past 12 years. (I feel old)
My Qualifications
BA Education with Early Years completed 2017 at Liverpool John Moores
Completed training such as First Aid, Health & Safety, Ligature - message for more. (Updated as and when required)
