About Me

Warm, loving, fun & dependable mature nanny with excellent checkable references, available immediately.

I hold current DBS & Paediatric First Aid Certificates.

I have an outgoing personality, a pro-active attitude & a conscientious work ethic.

Ideally looking for a part-time, permanent, sole-charge nanny role of 20-25 hours a week for one child.

After school nanny for 1-2 children also considered (& full-time during school holidays for a commensurate package).

I've looked after all ages from 3 months to 17 years over the 12 years I have been nannying.

I am also an English language teacher, having taught general English & pronunciation to both adults & children, & more recently teaching Academic English at the University of the Arts London.

More about me:

I enjoy going on park or countryside walks & helping children to discover nature through adventure. I adore the outdoors & dogs & love all animals.

I have experience nannying with new-borns through to teens. I am fully supportive in the development of children’s cognitive abilities providing age appropriate activities in a stimulating & positive environment.

I enjoy encouraging them to be creative & imaginative in play, patient with problem-solving, puzzles & homework & adore the adventures of story-time.

I am an excellent tutor, mentor & confidant & can motivate children through drama & exploration of movement & exercise through stretching, dance, yoga & mindfulness.

I like to organise outings & trips, or just being outside on adventures whenever possible.

I am a naturally super-organised, clean & tidy housekeeper & able to cook nutritious & tasty meals for the children.

I am motivated and committed to the children in my care and their families, which reflects in the happiness and security felt by those I have worked with.

This year, I took some time out to study & do a Yoga Teacher Training Course. I hope to build up work gradually part-time, and nanny 20-25 hours a week.

The right family fit is key, so do please reach out if you feel we may be a good fit.

My Experience

I have 12 years' experience as a full-time sole-charge nanny, seven years of which were in permanent positions with multiples in nanny share positions.

I have 24 years English teaching experience with excellent checkable references.

I am a mature, calm & confident nanny with excellent communication and organisational skills, able to negotiate many scenarios.

My last charge was a delightful little boy of 5 months when I started, until nearly 12 months when he started nursery.

I was working over the the summer teaching Academic English at a university on a Pre-sessional programme for students going on to MA courses in the autumn.

The nanny position before that was looking after a delightful little 8-month-old girl 3-4 days a week.
Mum is a surgeon, so flexible hours & night shifts were a must.

During lock down, I was working in Devon due to a shielding situation with a lovely family, looking after their 15 month old daughter 3-4 days a week.
I started working in London & got sequestered to Devon in my first week on the job for a live-in position at their country estate. Mum is a paediatric doctor, Dad a HNW entrepreneur.

Before this role, I was working in a 3-day-a-week role with a delightful 11 month old boy in Waterloo. Although also taken on as permanent & long term, the family sadly moved out of London to the south coast.

The previous position was yet again taken on as a permanent role for a lovely family caring for their adorable 8- month-old twins. Sadly, the family health & financial situation changed and they could no longer offer me continued employment.

Before this, I was working as an Academic English Language Teacher at UAL, & in 2017 - 2018 I was tutoring & teaching children from ages 4-17 in Morocco.

One of my first nanny roles I stayed in for 5 happy years, caring for Jack from 12 months & Anna from 4 months.

Before that I looked after more multiples, two 2 year old boys & a 6 month old baby boy in another nanny share position.
