About Me
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder since 2009. My last inspection was in 2024 where I was graded good.
I live in werrington village.
I have a self contained playroom with its own outside play area, allowing free flow play, also gated access to the main garden with climbing frame.
I have a cockapoo called Thea, a Maltichon called Percy and a cavapoo Steve, they usually stay at my dad’s during the day but the children see them in the morning. Also four Guinea pigs, Harriet, Matilda, Ophelia and Georgina, two rabbits Clementine and Florence and four chickens Margaret, Linda, Gertrude and Deirdre. The children help to look after them and love watching the rabbits and chickens run around the main garden.
I follow the EYFS and use an online system called Babydays. I update this throughout the day so parents can log on, view photos and any observations I’ve made.
I have a wide range of toys and resources. We try and be outdoors as much as possible. Cuckoo's Hollow is just round the corner and we love feeding the ducks and going exploring. We go to sacrewell farm, Hamerton Wildlife, Burghley and Ferry meadows regularly. We also love going to the local parks and watching the trains.
We spend most mornings with another childminder and her children. Then back to our playroom in the afternoon.
My Experience
I have been childminding since 2009. I have five children of my own. I have a ba(ed) in primary education where I completed teaching practice in schools and a nursery.
My Qualifications
I have all the relevant childminding qualifications and am often completing new courses to improve my setting. I have up to date first aid and safeguarding. I have a degree in primary education, 3 alevels and 10 GCSEs.
My Availability
I will have space for preschool children aged 0-4 from September 2026 as current children leave for school.

Anna has been caring for my children for over 4 years and I wouldn't want them to go anywhere else. The activities they do, the care she gives them and the lovely setting along with her educational approach has made me totally comfortable to leave my children with her. She communicates well with parents and prepared my son so well for starting school. I couldn't ask for anything more from the person my children spend so much time with and they absolutely adore her
