My Summary
About Me
I currently have availability Tuesday and Thursday full time.
My name is Vicky and I am currently a sole charge nanny and proud Founder of a special needs dance school, Chance to Dance Stars CIC.
My specialism is special educational needs. I live at home with my partner and our son Noah and daughter Sofia. Noah was born 1/2020 and Sofia was born 1/2023. I have access to my own car, which I hold business insurance. I am very organised and enjoy planning to ensure the days run smoothly. I am a bubbly outgoing person who enjoys playing and educating children. I am firm but fair and treat everyone equally working with the family to ensure the child/rens needs are met.
My Experience
April 2023 to January 2024 ,
Nanny to twins 2.5 years old 2 days a week with my 12 weeks old and 3 year old at the start of the role.
Maternity Leave January 2023 to April 2023
September to December 2022 - Nanny to twins 12 months old and their sibling who is 4 years old. My main duties was to support the twins to achieve their milestones through accessing their community such as baby classes and trips out. I also guided and supported the transition of milk and nap times. We would collected the eldest from school, prepared meals and support basic household chores.
Started October 2018 - I am currently a nanny to 2 girls, aged 9 months and 3.5 years old. The 3.5 year old has Downs Syndrome. My main duties are childcare with little household chores. I ensure the girls have a packed schedule meeting both their milestones goals. We go swimming, signing classes, rhymetime, dance classes, library and lots of outdoor play. We go on outings to the farm, family fun days, theme parks, soft play the list is endless. We also enjoy home based activities baking, arts and crafts, garden time, imaginative play, play dates and independence play. I ensure the girls have balanced healthy meals and ensure all childcare duties are completed.
I support the older sibling with SEN needs and any medical support needed. For example speech and language, physio, occupational therapy, SEN groups and now settling into school.
I was a VIP Nanny to 4 boys, though my main area of care is for a 5 year old autistic boy. Supporting him at home and at school. I have travelled with the family over the summer with the whole family focusing on the two youngest 3 and 5 and over-seeing the older two aged 12 and 14. This role is childcare only.
I was a nanny for twin boys aged 9 months, I provided sole charge care 12 hours a day for 3 days a week. My duties included sole charge of the boys keeping them in their routine set by mum and working on a discipline/behaviour strategies with the parents. As well as weening, cooking and supporting their sleeping routine. I took the boys to access music, swimming and age related activities and classes both indoors and outdoors. I supported them to meet their milestones and to ensure all activities were educational. I also supported the family with light housework, bedding, laundry, cooking and cleaning when needed.
I nanny for two boys aged 3 and 4 at the start. I am a sole charge nanny who works 11 hours a day. Both parties have been flexiable . I carry out all childcare duties such as educational play, group activities, school runs, after school activities, swimming, general childcare, cooking, bed making and cleaning for the boys. I provide light household chores, along with a family meal and regular baking. I have implemented new behaviour techniques and experimented with new food ideas, widening the boys choices of food. I plan a well balanced plan for the holidays including outings out to Museums, swimming, nature parks as well as home arts and crafts, cooking, outdoor sports and imaginative games; dress up, role play.
I was previously a nanny to a girl 3 and an autistic boy 5. I had sole care of the two children and did all childcare duties such as school run, three nutritional meals, activities, washing and educational activities. I used sign language and Picture Exchange Communication with the 5 year old. We followed a very structured routine helping the autistic child to focus. We have over come a lot of food barriers and developed widely in communication and play. The younger child has developed independent skills and enjoys play dates and outings such as swimming, theme parks and picnics. I help with light household chores and give mum support with juggling work and motherhood. I also babysit for them.
I am the Founder of Chance to Dance Stars CIC, a special needs dance school. Which has been running since Jan 2013. We became a CIC in June 2018 to allow us to expand what we can offer. We now run 9 fortnightly classes on a Saturday, Activity Days, Camp in the holidays and we host an annual Showcase along side several fundraising events.
Previously, I was a nanny for a family with two children boys aged 14 months old and 4 years old. I had both sole care and shared care of the children. The older child was at nursery and the younger boy attended classes and activities. I juggled school run with play dates and fun planned activities. I cook nutritional meals, general chores, laundry and light housework. They had a structured routine that can be flexible due to the baby. I started work in February 2012 and left at the end of April 2012 due to myself and the family not bonding.
I was a Nanny for a family with 3 children girl 3 and two boys 7 and 10 years. I had sole care of the children. They had a structured routine that could be flexible. The children all attended clubs and the toddler attended singing and gym classes. I carried out the school runs, cook healthy balanced meals, children’s washing and housework. I have worked here since September 2011 and it was a temporary placement due to maternity, left in February 2012.
I worked as a nursery nurse for a 5 day period in 2011; this helped widen my knowledge of children. It allowed me to see how children express themselves. I worked mainly with children aged 2 to 5 years. I carried out simple tasks, such as creativity activities, stories, physical and imaginative
