Excellent!

Karen is exceptional, she provides such a calm and nurturing environment for the children to learn and play. I was nervous about going back to work but Karen made it so easy, I knew that my son would be so well cared for and in his first few weeks she worked so hard to make sure he was comforted and settled in well. He comes home so happy and has so much to tell me about his day. Everyday he goes to Karen there is a different theme and new activities. He loved learning about mini beasts and birds especially. Karen has helped my son to grow in confidence and all of our family comment on what a well mannered child he is. I can’t thank Karen enough for how much progress our son has made and would highly recommend her.

An exceptional childminder

Karen is brilliant in every single way - my daughter (now 2) absolutely adores Karen and her family, and she is only ever happy and smiling whenever I pick her up from Karen's house. Karen is very sensitive to each child's needs and builds a wonderful rapport with the children. She is incredibly caring and kind, and creates a warm and friendly environment within which the children thrive. She regularly goes on outings with our daughter and takes her to different activities, which she loves. Karen also teaches our daughter about nature and the world around us, which is so important and something our daughter enjoys so much. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Karen to anyone, she is a true star and an excellent childminder.

Outstanding!

As soon as I met Karen I knew she was the right match for us - she has such a warm, kind and calm demeanour but also a real sense of fun and my daughter became very fond of her very quickly.
My daughter has been with Karen since she was 18 months old and it has made the process of going back to work very easy, when it could have been awful. Karen does different themes each week, sends lovely photos to us parents so we can see what fun our child is having and keeps good records of development and learning.

In a nutshell, I cannot speak highly enough of Karen and I'm so pleased that I found her.

Amazing

Karen has been utterly amazing with our son. He started with Karen when he was around 10 months old so still quite young. Karen updates us every day with how he is getting on and sends us lovely pictures. He enjoys every minute with her and the other children. Karen is so gentle and softly spoken with the children. She takes them out on little adventures, lets them play in the garden and takes them to the park. We are so glad we have found someone that all of us get along with so well. Thank you 🙏

Karen was the perfect fit for my daughter

I wasn't keen on the idea of childcare for my children as I wanted to do it all myself. However circumstances meant that I had to return to work and I needed childcare at short notice. I was very nervous has my daughter had always been weird with other people (even family) so there was a concern that she wouldn't settle.

Karen was amazing and so so so calm and patient. The complete opposite to me which probably did my daughter some good, haha! Even though my daughter was only with Karen one day a week she settled within 3 weeks, so just 3 days! She loved being with the big kids before the school run and her development sky-rocketed with Karen. I had been trying to get her to High-Five for weeks but was doing it after just one day with Karen. It opened my eyes to childcare and where it is the right setting for the child then I am all for it.

Karen does various activities with the kids and has an amazing network of childminders who she meets up with to help socialise the children. She also takes the kids to baby/toddler groups. No day is the same.

Karen is very attentive and keeps a folder for each child with reports on how they are doing. I wasn't expecting this for mine as we only needed a short period (as I was pregnant again so wouldn't be using her while on leave), but lo and behold, we had a folder! This contained all development and reports which was amazing and assured me that my daughter was very well looked after and not just left to play on her own. There were also regular photos send through WhatsApp showing how she was doing and what she was up to.

A real modern day Mary Poppins!

Karen came highly recommended from other parents at London Meed Primary, and she has more than lived up to these recommendations!
My children are 3 and 5, they love going to Karens and always give her a heroes welcome when we bump into her!
They have had lovely trips to the park and also to groups. Karens home is a soul nourishing environment and the kids are always busy with play and activities to suit their needs.
Karen as a person is warm, friendly and caring and it is clear her family are the centre of her world, a world that any child is firmly part of when in her care 🥰

Better than the best

Karen provides the most outstanding care in her lovely home setting and I can not recommend her highly enough. All the children are embraced into her family by all her family members to make a real home from home experience for the children.

After being lucky enough to have a childhood friend (and teacher) care for my first born I thought I'd never find anyone to fill her shoes for my second. Then Karen was recommend by several friends and I have never looked back. Karen provides such gentle, calm, fun loving care and is the most patient person I know. She does a plethora of activities with the children from trips to the farm, to playgroups and playdates, to arts and crafts and quiet days at home. She is very well organised and ticks all the required paperwork boxes whilst being ever adaptable and flexible when required. Karen always keeps you very well informed about what they will be doing, and have done, during their time with her and I absolutley love the pictures and folders she sends. She is always happy to chat and give advice when asked. She really does make you feel like one big team.

Both my children love going to Karen's and there is no better feeling as a Mum than knowing you are leaving your precious ones in the best possible care.

Amazing Childminder

Having seen Karen with her childminding children for many years when we walked to school, I had no other childminder I wanted to ask to mind my boys when I needed child care.

Karen is such a fun, loving, caring lady who my boys love going to each week.

My eldest goes for before school care along with my youngest who then is with Karen for the day, where they go to groups, walks, farm visits. Everything that I wanted my kids to be able to do. A home from home environment seeing the world and not being stuck in one place for the day.

I get regular updates of what they have been up to each day and every photo is full of smiles and happiness.

If anyone asks me for a childminder recommendation, I would ALWAYS recommend Karen as she truly is an amazing lady, and childminder.

Absolutely brilliant!

Karen is an absolutely brilliant childminder for our 2 girls (age 4 and 7) who love going to her setting. She has weekly themes which engage the children and they always come back home having had fun at her house. She is so caring and nothing is too much trouble for her. She regularly sends us updates with pictures of activities they have done during her time with them.
She remained in touch with us all through all the lockdowns- dropping off goodies (when allowed!) and sending cards and letters in the post when things were more restricted.
She is flexible and approachable and we would not hesitate in recommending her to others. She is an absolute star! We’ve been with her for 3 years.

Natural nurturer who’s childminding = vocational

Karen has nurtured and cared for our two children all through their pre school years up until starting school (only reason she doesn’t still look after them is because ours go to a different school from London Mead where she does school pick up and drop offs - it was hard to leave).

This lady is a beautiful soul and is well sought after locally and due to glowing recommendations via word of mouth, she has had little need for any advertising over the years - which says it all!

Being busy parents and carrying a fair dose of mummy guilt due to having to work full time, I found it especially easy to leave my two most precious bubbas with her as I knew they would be super happy, super safe & super cared for.

Not only is Karen a beautiful childminder but she is on the ball with all the necessary paperwork and formal necessities and is regularly updating her knowledge on the ever changing policies and recommendations via online courses.

Both our children regularly talk fondly of Karen and they both have their special leaving gifts on show in their bedrooms.

I would not hesitate to recommend Karen to any local parents with children of any age, she’s wonderful.
