My Summary

My Experience

In 2016 I completed a Fetac level 5 childcare course, (passed with distinction) in Ireland, which is equivalent to a NVQ level 3 (UK), through that course I undertook 120 hours of work experience in both Preschools and Primary Schools I assisted the children in a range of different subjects and activities.
My most recent childcare experience was in 2020, when I was furloughed from my job as a receptionist in the city, I was a childminder for two young girls (ages 8 and 6) over the summer.
From February 2019 to July 2019 I was employed as a nursery practitioner in London, primarily looking after children under the age of two.
In 2018 I was employed as a nanny looking after a 9 month old baby, for a month while on my travels back in New Zealand.
In 2017 I completed an Advanced certificate in Psychosocial Awareness and Training (level 6) in Ireland this course involved studies in a range of different subjects such as Disability Awareness, and Health Promotion. Through this course I completed two weeks of work experience at my local primary school.
In 2017 over the summer I worked as an aupair in London for 2.5 months.
In the year of 2016 I babysat for two families, with the children ranging in age from four to thirteen.
Having childcare experience in multiple countries is definitely beneficial, as I have met many different types of people and experienced different cultures and for me I have valued these experiences greatly.
