About Me
In the past I’ve worked in special needs and mainstream schools for over 18 years. I took the plunge and became self employed Nanny/ Housekeeper in January 2020. I was incredibly lucky to work through all of the COVID lockdowns that have happened so far! I absolutely thrive on building relationships with both the children in my care and that of the parents. I have all the relevant insurances including business insurance on my car. I have Ofsted Registration a Current DBS and various medical training, having worked with SEN children for years. I also have references from my past school roles and current families that I Nanny for. I also trained and qualified as an HCA for the NHS in 2021.
I strongly believe in nurture, imagination and fun! I I’m proactive, hard working and can engage well. I am quick to build strong bonds with both the children and parents/carers, and aim to be someone who can be relied on . I will try to be as flexible with needs as possible. I have a very caring nature and am able to bond with children in a positive way, through play, learning and having fun. . I have curriculum and home schooling experience. I will proactively do chores around the home where possible and cook meals for children.
On the SEN side, I have experience in PDA, Attachment Disorder, Autism, Epilepsy, Non Verbal , Makaton, OCD, Anxiety and intimate care issues. I enjoy working with all children and get great pleasure of milestones being met, however small!
