About Me
I am on my own, following my husband's death, with my two adopted daughters (11 and 13). They are both in mainstream school but both have EHCPs for social and emotional difficulties arising from the early developmental trauma that they experienced. They have attachment difficulties and significant sensory needs. However, when people see us out and about, we seem fairly 'normal'!
I have experienced three close family bereavements during the past five years. I am now also solely responsible for my mother-in-law who has dementia (and lives in a care home but is active). As a result of all the knockbacks, and because my girls have been my priority, my house and garden are in a state of general clutter and mess. I really want to try to make time to sort out our home so that it is much better organised and nicer to live in.
My Requirements
Thinking of things that another person could do for me, to free up my time, I am looking for someone who might work for a couple of hours each/most week mornings:
- driving the children to school
- doing household tasks like laundry, ironing, cleaning
- doing basic food prep
and be available for irregular babysitting on evenings and at weekends.
Experience of working with children with SEN and/or SEMH preferred.
