About Me
We are family of 3 living in the Chilterns (close to Princes Risborough) is looking for a housekeeper/nanny/governess to join them.
We are looking for a positive and respectful individual with positive can-do attitude and initiatives to be part of our family and enable each member of the family.
We are looking for long term partnership; our last amazing “nanny/governess” stayed for 5 years and she runs her own food business now.
Both parents are professionals (in their 30/40s) with their own home offices; they travel into London a few days a week for work.
They have one daughter aged 6 and one dog.
The family lives in the countryside in a newly renovated house sitting on one acre land and beautiful mature garden.
My Requirements
We can offer from 20 up to 40 hours a week, starting from end of Feb 2025.
Your duties will be (based on 20 hours/week: 5 hours a day Monday to Thursday):
- Plan and cook fresh/healthy meals for family, and also
- Restocking cupboard and fridge
- Be in charge of weekly grocery delivery and deal with them when it comes
- Go to local butcher
- Family laundry, wash, hang, fold and put away (excluding ironing)
-School pick-up during term dates no more than twice a week
- Very light housekeeping such as emptying dishwasher, change bins, and keeping your working area and high traffic area tidy
- Feed the dog at 5pm
Our daughter is in prepschool, and finishes between 4-5.30pm depending on the days. The travel time from home to school is just under 30 minutes one way. Your working hours would be:
- Based on 20 hours a week: Monday to Thursday 5 hours a day, your start and finish time can be flexible but will need to be in the afternoon, such as : 12.30 – 5.30pm or 1.30pm – 6.30pm or 2-7pm.
- During holiday period, there will be opportunity to do ten hours a day on days without school camp. (pre-agreed)
- There will be other opportunities for overtime if parents stay late for work.
- There will be house/dog sitting opportunities given the family does a fair amount of overseas travelling.
This role gravitates towards the nature of family help, and there will be some nanny duties during term time, and a little more concentrated during the brief spells of holiday period (when there is no camp and no overseas travelling). Majority of the time you are working on your own therefore, it suits someone who is a self-starter with plenty helpful initiatives. You must be:

- Looking for stability and longevity in a role and relationship with the family. (family’s previous helper was with them for 5 years and counting).
