About Me
I have worked for many years within day nurseries and as a nanny. I have 4 (grownup) children of my own including twins. I have a BA Honour Degree in Early Years Education and I am also an independent professional children’s storyteller. I am trustworthy and dependable, I can think on my feet and out of the box. I am reliable, authentic, creative and fun loving. I have a great rapport with both children and adults alike. I am a non-smoker and have a full driving licence and my own transport.
My Experience
I have worked in an Ofstead outstanding free flow day nursery with children from 2-5 years of age in Redland for 6 years. In 2018 I was fortunate to be offered the part time role of traditional oral storyteller within the nursery. I adore telling traditional tales, myths and legends to children and appreciate the learning potential that they offer, I jumped at the chance.
Since September 2019, I have started working part time as a nanny for local families alongside my storytelling work.
I have invaluable personal experience as a parent, as a nursery educator and working as a part time nanny, for children from newborn babies up to 12 years of age.
My degree has given me the knowledge and understanding of how young children learn through play, whilst working within a supportive nurturing nursery environment that values knowledgeable, well educated, creative, reflective staff. It has enabled me to put theory into practice in all my roles working and caring for children. I enjoy the flexibility that working as a part-time nanny provides.

GCSE English, Maths, sociology, Human Biology, A level - English, Psychology.

As of September 2024 I only have availability left on a Wednesday and Friday afternoon. Plus flexible availability for evening babysitting.
