About Me
Hello and welcome to Cindercare childminding. My name is Sharon Cinderey and I live in Sittingbourne with my partner Steve. I have been working in the Early years sector for the last 26 years, as an Ofsted registered childminder and most recently, with the local authority as a Childminding Adviser, supporting and training childminders in Kent. My qualifications include a level 4 in Early years and Childcare, Foundation Degree in teaching in the lifelong sector, Paediatric First Aid and Safeguarding. Both myself and my partner have current enhanced DBS’s.
I aim to provide a caring and stimulating experience for your child and ensure the activities I plan cover the areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage and therefore ensure your child is learning through fun and play.
I have a purpose-built log cabin in a fully enclosed, large, well-equipped garden, which the children have access to all day. Within my setting I strive to provide an environment that creates curiosity and wonder to promote children's learning and development. The resources and activities I provide encourage fascination, investigation, and imagination which support children to become capable learners who are resilient and love to learn.
I work closely with the children's families to help and support their child to grow and flourish.
I am an inclusive setting who treats every child as an individual with individual needs. All children, irrespective of their race, age, gender, colour, ability, family structure, language spoken, social cultural and religious backgrounds are welcomed.
I offer free early education for two-, three- and four-year-olds. This is based on a core offer of 570/1140 hours of free early education over no less than 38 weeks. The offer is for 15/30 hours of free childcare per week during term time between the hours of 8am to 5:30pm. Please ask to see my pattern of delivery to see how the funding is offered. If you need wrap around care for your child, this can be provided at a cost of £5:00 per hour. All children can bring a packed lunch if they would like to.
