About Me
My name is Benedicta originally from West Africa Ghana my main Language’s is Twi, and English. I am Ofsted’s registered childminder since 2005. I’m a member of Professional Association for childcare early years ( PACEY)I live on Sinclair Road W14 area near Kensington and Olympia station. I have 3 children but I’m now living with my daughter age 20 who has a CRB checked by Ofsted and my son age 9 who is in year 4 at school who enjoys playing football. My childminding setting is based in my home where the children are cared for. I don’t have a garden as I live on the first floor. The children are taken out daily to playgroups, parks, libraries and sometimes to museums and the science museum. The playgroups that I normally use are Masbro playgroup, Brook Green playgroup, St Stephen church play group and Edward woods which is a short walking distance for the children. My local parks for the children that I use are Brook green park, Holland Park, Ravenscourt Park and Avondale park . In the summer I involved a lot of water play activities with the children using swimming pool. ( Kensington Leisure Centre .I also meet up with other childminders from my local area for water play at Kensington Memorial park which has been updated with new play equipments, Toddlers play area, water play area for all age groups and picnic area . .
I also use Ravenscourt paddling pool in the summer and the children enjoying running and playing in the adventure area. I follow the guidelines of the early years foundation stage (EYFS) with all 7 areas. I believe that young children learn through fun and play activities. I provide a positive safe environment when caring for children and planning activities depending on their development stages . My last two Ofsted inspections are rated Good . Parents can read my Ofsted inspection reports on Ofsted website. I offer full time and part time hours.
I provide breakfast and lunch for the children which are fleshly cooked daily. Healthy snacks throughout the day, children are provided with milk and water . As a parent please feel free if you prefer to provide your own lunch for your child if you want to is optional.
My Experience
As a mother of 3, I have a lot of experience with newborns,toddlers and teenagers. I worked as agency for south Acton children centre having a lot of experience working with children with special needs. I worked in a nursery and after 3 years I was promoted as a deputy manager managing babies and toddler room. I have 30 years experience working with children from all different background cultures and religions.
My Qualifications
BTEC National Diploma in nursery nursing. First Aid
Health and safety awareness, food hygiene, active play,
Safeguarding children. Early years foundation. Managing behaviour for two year olds.EYFS knowledge and understanding of the world through science.food and hygiene level 2. Supporting young children’s mental health and wellbeing. Safeguarding and child protection
My insurance is by Pacey professional association for childcare and early years. CRB check

Benedicta (Benny) looked after my son who is now nearly 3 from when he was 6 months old. She started off as a childminder 4 days a week, and we’ve continued to use her for babysitting and overnight stays. Benny has been a real support and my son absolutely adores her. She knows the local childminder network and does great activities with the kids to help their development. She takes safeguarding really seriously and I would trust her implicitly. My son always comes home happy and feels completely at home at Benny’s house. I would have no hesitation in recommending her.

Benedicta has been babysitting for our 5 year old and 10 month old for a few months now, and she is absolutely brilliant!
She’s perfectly experienced to look after our younger children. Our eldest adores Benny, and loves spending time with her. Whether it’s doing crafts or homework, she’s always happy!
I wholeheartedly recommend Benedicta. She’s always prompt, kind, loving and completely trustworthy.
