I am well experienced, and enjoy working with children.
I have been brought up in a big church with a mixture of ages and in my adult years now work within the youth and my local Girls Brigade.
I am a fun, outgoing person who loves making each day different!
I’m keen for children to use their imagination and not be stuck behind screens.
I love cooking and getting children to help!
My experience within my kids work at church as enabled me to pick up lots of skills.
I have a basic knowledge of Makaton sign language (could learn more if needed).
I also have worked with a small number of children with different additional needs.
My Experience
I have nannyed for local families for over 10 years, specifically with a few families I went through chaperone training in order to accompany their child to and from modelling/ acting jobs which required me to travel with them to and from London.
I nannyed for other more local based families. One family I ended up being their school holiday/ after school care for many years!
Over the years I have babysat for loads of families and have also volunteered within youth and children’s work at my local church. Leading groups of 10-20 children at time.
I have an up to date DBS, first aid training and food safety and hygiene level 2 (currently completing my level 3). I also go through regular safe guarding training.
Since having my own son I have taken it upon myself to dive deeper into child development, Montessori style learning and forest school activities! All self taught and researched in order for me to make every day fun and also educational.
I love being in the kitchen, cooking and baking and always encourage my previous families children to get involved and get in the kitchen.
I am also an Auntie to 8 nieces and nephews so have a vast experience of families and children of all ages. 2 of my nieces also have SEN, so I have a lot of experience working with children with all sorts of needs and learning styles because of this and my experience within my church.
I know a good range of Makaton and constantly learning more.
I love getting out doors rain or shine, and also following children’s queues and sometimes snuggling down on the sofa with a movie or story is exactly what they fancy after a day at school/ nursery.
