About Me
I'm Abigail.
I welcomed my son into the world in August 2019 and decided before then that I wouldn't return to my teaching career. Instead I would set up a childminding business so that I wouldn't miss his milestones.
I am working with my mum who has been a childminder in Sprotbrough for over 20 years.
Together, we are undertaking a Wanderlust Child Nature Study programme and our aim is to provide an excellent, educational experience for all children who attend our setting.
I have been a childminder for a little over 5 years now.
My Experience
I have been a primary school teacher for 7 years. I've decided that as my fiance and I are starting our own family, I want a change of setting but I still want to deliver quality, home from home care and to ensure each child is learning and developing at the age appropriate rates.
My Qualifications
I have a PGCE in Education,
Paediatric first aid,
Level 3 Safeguarding.
I constantly look for new and exciting CPD courses to develop my skills.
My Availability
My working hours are 7.30am until 5.30pm Monday - Thursday.
On Friday I close at an earlier time of 5pm.
I close for 2 weeks over the Christmas Period. (To align with my son's school holidays), I do take another 3 weeks of holiday throughout the year. These are given out as soon as they are booked to ensure everyone has time to sort alternative childcare whilst I'm on holiday.
