About Me
Hello, my name is Sarah. I am married and we have a kind, fun and loving daughter. We have lived in Bookham & Fetcham for eighteen years, we are currently based in Bookham. I love the community in Bookham & Fetcham, it’s such a family village and a great place for our children to grow up in. We have a lovely child friendly house, with a secure garden. I have a play room where the children will be cared for and will have a range of toys and activities to suit all ages. I will follow the statutory framework for the early years foundation stage and keep a record of this for your child. I use WhatsApp to share daily photos and observations of your child.
I will have many planned activities at home to help each child work towards knowledge, skills and understanding. We will attend many outside places, such as National trusts, Wisely gardens & visit our local parks.
My previous career, I was a makeup artist for thirteen years and specialised in bridal makeup. I then followed my dream to work with children after my daughter was born. I have worked at two pre school’s as a pre school assistant and had my own key children. I was also a childminding assistant, which i absolutely loved and made me choose to start my own childcare business from my home. I also use to work as bank staff at my local pre school in our village. It has been such a privilege to care for all of the children, it’s so rewarding to watch them grow and to have been part of their learning journey.
My Experience
I have worked at a forest nursery called the burrow in Ashtead. I was surrounded by a wonderful team that taught me such a valuable experience with early years. I also have worked at Fetcham village pre school and am very proud that I was part of the opening of Daisychainpreschool. My managers were both childminders with many years of experience, they again taught me so much. Then when I worked as a childminding assistant, this gave me such a valuable experience. It gave me the opportunity to care for babies from 8 months to older children up to age 11 yrs old. We would do activities at home for all ages and during school holidays. It was extremely rewarding and so much fun. Memories made forever that gave me the drive to become a childminder and I’ve never looked back. I absolutely love what I do and feel very grateful to have a career that I’m so proud of and enjoy.

Our third child started with Sarah at 10 months old. The setting really feels like home from home and our daughter settled immediately. I love how happy she looks when we pull up outside, desperate to get inside to see Sarah and play! Sarah is an absolute natural with children, and it is evident how much the children in her care adore her. Out daughter has also been lucky enough to be taken on wonderful outings. I feel like she’s part of such a nurturing family 💜

For 3 years Sarah was like an extension of our family. From settling in to supporting learning and home routines, Sarah goes above and beyond to create a secure, safe and happy setting. The result is children (and parents) that adore her.
Sarah is passionate about the children in her care and their development. She invests lots of time to get to know them and their families, allowing her to demonstrate a fantastic understanding of their needs and interests, helping them grow confidently through wonderful activities. It was always so much fun, I always wished I could have stayed to play!
Sarah’s energy is infectious, she exudes kindness and has a calming confidence of experience. I felt so lucky to find Sarah and I can’t recommend her enough.

Sarah has looked after my daughter since I returned to work after maternity leave. She accommodated my daughters routine with ease and was able to settle her to sleep for her naps from day one. Sarah provides a loving, hom—from-home setting and genuinely welcomes children into her family.
Sarah offers a wonderfully caring environment where my daughter feels safe and secure, and is excited to arrive each morning. I look forward to receiving updates and photos each afternoon, along with any important/helpful info about their day.
I cannot recommend Sarah highly enough to anyone looking for a warm, loving setting for their child!

We feel so lucky to have found Sarah, she is one of a kind, an absolute gem of a childminder who really makes you feel like part of her lovely family. Sarah has such a kind, caring and gentle nature with the children you can see that they all love her and she forms special bonds with them all. My little boy settled instantly and is so excited to get to Sarah’s in the morning. It’s like an extension of home for him. She plans fun and engaging activities at home and also takes them on exciting adventures out and about. She makes sure the activities help with their development and they learn so much. My little boys speech and language have improved so quickly with Sarah’s support and he’s really thriving in her care. It’s so nice to know that he’s so well looked after and happy while I’m at work. I look forward to the photos and updates to brighten my day at work seeing how much fun he’s having at Sarah’s!
