I am Mar, I am 29 years old, I am from Spain and now I live in London. I have a university degree in Primary School Education from the University of the Balearic Islands. I am a nice person, very creative, I love cooking, I like to play and take care of children and I love to teach them. By the way, I’m vegan.
I have the DBS CHECK.
I am looking for a part time after school nanny job, I’m a TA 8:30-15:45 in a SEN school.
My Experience
I have experience taking care of different children as a sitter. In addition, I have almost one year of experience with children of 5-12 years in different schools in Spain.
I was working 3 months in a nursery in Spain and I have been working as a Spanish teacher in different nurseries from January till March 2020 when the lockdown started. During the summer 2020 I had been with some families doing babysittings and temporal nanny jobs.
I have been in a special needs school from October 2020 to January 2021 as a teaching assistant.
In February 2021 I started (as a one to one TA) in a special needs school in Brixton til September 2021.
I have been a special needs nanny from September 2021 til February 2022. From March 2022 til June 2023 I have been the nanny of a warm and kind family of two amazing girls (3 and 6 years old).
Since September 2023 I’m in a SEN school as a TA.

Mar is so much more than a nanny. For our 4 year old son who is autistic, Mar is his teacher, his best friend, his counsellor and generally his rock. He loves Mar, as do we all. She has become part of the family and I actually cried when I told her we were moving to Brighton.
We will miss Mar so much. She is patient, always calm, always considerate, honest and reliable. She took time to get to know our son and understand his hobbies, as well as his challenges. She persevered even on his off days when no one could cheer him up. And he loves her wholeheartedly.
Mar is respectful of our household and boundaries but also uses her initiative to tidy up or fold laundry when she has a spare moment. She made our lives much easier in a lot of different ways.
Mar has incredible experience with neuro-diversity (autism, adhd etc.) and she is just as great with our neuro-typical daughter as she is with our son. She is creative and artistic and is incredible when it comes to communicating with children.
She is just a super star nanny. So much do that we tried to convince her to move to Brighton with us!
