About Me
I aim to provide your child with a safe, fun and educational environment in a family atmosphere where your child can attain their full potential.
I belong to the Mid Kent Children come first network, which means I agree to work to their standards, have my practice monitored and assessed regularly, undertake training and development on a regular basis and have an early year’s inspection by Ofsted. I work within the Early Years Foundation Stage I am also an eligible childminder which means I can deliver early years education. The sessions are for 3 and 4 year olds in my setting and I can claim the appropriate Early Years Education funding, and Free For Two funding.
I mainly use the downstairs of my house for childminding, but sometimes use the bedrooms for sleeping. The downstairs consists of a living room for quiet activities like reading, a kitchen where the meals are prepared and messy crafts are completed, a dining room for homework and meal eating, a playroom which is set out for the children and where the toys are kept at accessible heights, a cloakroom and a child friendly rear garden, giving the children access to outdoor play equipment, messy play area and a reflection room. My family has 2 dogs, that are never left unsupervised with the children. The structure of our day depends on the age and stage of development of the children in my care. Play is used to develop physical, intellectual, social and creative skills. On a daily basis I try to offer an outing or craft/activity for the children to participate in, we have story time, music time and free play. Children are offered a rest if required and for the older children we have big children’s time, to help develop them ready for their transition to school. I offer collection from Willesborough School and Finberry school.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 23 years, and have looked after a number of different children offering me a welth of experience. Prior to that I worked in a nursery. I have 4 children of my own, which has given me a lot of experience over the years.

My Availability
I work the general hours of 7.00am-6:30pm Monday to Friday. These hours are negotiable, I offer full time, part time, term time and school holiday contracts.
