About Me
My name is Dessy, and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder. I work alongside a co-childminder and a childminder assistant, ensuring that every child in our care receives the best possible attention and support.
I am happily married and a proud mother of two wonderful children—Angelina (10) and Harvey (6)—who attend St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Chingford. I speak Bulgarian, Russian, and English, and we live in a recently renovated home between Chingford and Highams Park Station. Our house has a spacious open-plan extension, a dedicated nursery area, and a beautiful garden playground, complete with a trampoline, swings, slides, and a fantastic mud kitchen built by my husband.
I am a loving, energetic, creative, and patient person who finds genuine joy in working with children. My goal is to support their development by creating engaging and stimulating activities, tailored to their age, interests, and abilities. I carry out regular observations, assessments, and provide daily records, ensuring clear and open communication with parents. A strong partnership with parents is essential to me, as it helps create a nurturing and supportive environment for every child.
Our Daily Adventures
I strongly believe that outdoor play and exploration are vital for children’s growth and well-being. That’s why we frequently venture out to:

• Local parks and playgrounds
• Toddler playgroups
• The library
• Our own forest school, which we adapt based on the children’s ages and interests
When the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor play, we focus on fun and educational activities indoors, ensuring the children are always engaged, learning, and having fun.
A Warm and Loving Home
One of the reasons I became a childminder is my daughter, Angelina, who loves having friends over. She is now my little assistant, entertaining and engaging with the children after school. Harvey is a kind, creative, and energetic boy who enjoys making friends and playing with everyone.
As a mother myself, I understand how important it is to find the right person to care for your child—someone who ensures they are not only safe and happy but also inspired to learn, grow, and reach their full potential every day.

My Experience
I believe that the most valuable experience in my life has been raising my own children. Over the past 10 years, I have not only learned what it means to be a mother but, more importantly, how to be a teacher and guide—helping my daughter and son unlock their natural curiosity, develop essential skills, and reach their full potential. Through this journey, I have supported them in achieving all their EYFS milestones and ensuring they feel emotionally confident and prepared for the next chapter of their lives—starting school.
Beyond my personal experience as a mother, I have also worked with children in a professional capacity, organising children’s parties and entertainment. My academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Tourism.

My son was 1 year and 7 months when I decided I wanted him to be more social and start attending a child minder.
I have visited a few in the area, but no one could compare to the setting Dessy could provide. She has a room for sleeping where children can have a normal rest, which is so important at this age.
Dessy also provides the best environment with her spacious rooms and garden, she is regularly taking the children outside providing not only the best and cleanest indoor setting, but also great development games and entertainment which every parent would want for their children. They go to the zoo, local parks, plashparks, play groups, lavender fields and many more.
Dessy works with her assistants Ani and Chloe, and they are the best ever.
I cannot imagine trusting anyone else the way I trust Dessy and her amazing team. They provide the best healthy food and snacks, fi you care about quality food, this is also another area, where you will be impressed.
Dessy celebrates equality, she always includes different cultures and traditions and my son's development has improved so much since he is visiting Dessy. He counts, sings the alphabet song, potty trained and many more milestones, which I cannot imagine achieving without their help.
I could absolutely, 100% recommend her. She deserves to be praised for what she does, because there is no one who would offer you anything close to what she and her team has to offer.

We are so lucky to have found Dessy. Both our children are with her for two days a week and she never fails to surprise us on all the things they get up to. She is so creative with their activities, changing her setting to suit each week’s educational theme. They do messy play, baking, arts and crafts, spelling and reading, dance parties, and general physical play in her lovely, huge garden. She even takes them to the zoo! We love that she offers a good mix of educational activities and free play while in a nurturing home setting.
Dessy is creative, hard working, warm and welcoming, and really tries to go the extra mile to make sure our children are thriving and happy. She’s reached out to their other childcare setting to align with them on our little ones’ needs and to just establish that open line of communication to ensure continuity of care. That feels pretty special.
Wish our kids could stay with her for longer!

Dessy was childminder to our eldest son Roman for a year and he had a very enjoyable experience under her. He was constantly going to parks and playing outside and visited the zoo a couple times. He also began to walk more confidently and began saying words and learning various life skills such as taking off trainers and putting them away. Excellent service and a lovely person.

My son who is nearly 2 years old has been with Dessy since Jan 2022. He attends 3 days a week and absolutely loves Dessy and her family. He always goes in, and comes out with a big smile. I feel totally relaxed dropping him off and I know he's always safe, loved and well looked after.
Since being with Dessy my son has developed amazingly in so many areas.
I love that the children spend lots of time outside with themed weeks or days. They are always learning new and exciting things.
We are so happy we found Dessy! xx

Dessy has been an absolute blessing for our little family. Our son has been with her minimum 2 days a week since Sept 2020. Her setting is nurturing and homely with lots of outside space. She plans wonderful varied daily activities for the children and regularly updates us on his developmental achievements. She was very understanding of how nervous I was at first to leave my son in someone else’s care.
I feel my son is truly cared for by Dessy, in a high quality environment with an exception level of care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and feel very lucky we found her!

My daughter has been going to Dessy’s setting since August 2020.
Setting: excellent environment with a range of activities, toys, outdoor space for kids. It’s like a nursery. I was very impressed and got a good feel about the place on my first visit.
Dessy: is an excellent childminder I feel like she takes care of my daughter likes she is her own. She is warm, caring, really takes times to get to know the kids and tailors her approach to the different personalities. I fully trust her and know that she is doing the very best every day.
Education and activities: Dessy plans a range of activities for the kids during the week. Most weeks there is a theme for example if there is a big public holiday or event coming up, or she focuses activities on particular topics eg week 1 would be world day, or learn about birds week etc. There is also a focus on pre-school eduction. Weather permitting there is always outdoor activities either at the setting, forest, park etc.
Meals: a god variety throughout the week all freshly cooked. Healthy snacks too.
My child: absolutely loves going to Dessy’s, she has really flourished there. Dessy even helped me to get her out of nappies which I really appreciate :)!
Overall I would highly recommend Dessy. An excellent childminder.

As soon as I met Dessy I felt relaxed and confident that she would be the right person to look after my son. Her personality is energetic, fun and loving. The setting is really bright and homely with a great outside space and plenty of toys.
My son has been with Dessy 2 days a week for the past 5 months. He settled in very quickly and really enjoys his days with Dessy and the other children. He has also developed a lot of new skills.
The communication has also been great with the occasional photo and video throughout the day to show how much fun my son is having. As first time mum this gives me real peace of mind.
I would recommend Dessy, she is a fantastic childminder.

We were looking for some childcare for our daughter when we came across Dessy on this website. We got in contact to see if she had some availability, which she did so we arranged a visit at her home to meet and discuss childcare. When we arrived at Dessy’s home she was very warm and welcoming. At the time was minding some children and her kind nature with them made us feel at ease and very comfortable as all the children seemed very happy and our daughter even got involved in the play activity they were doing. Our daughter is now looked after by Dessy three days a week and when we go to pick her up she hardily ever wants to leave as she really enjoys her time with Dessy and the other children that attend. Dessy organises daily educational activities for all the children to do and gives them healthy meals and snacks whilst in her care. In my opinion Dessy is a very good childminder, who is professional and most importantly our daughter loves going there.
