About Me
Hi! My name is Laura and I am an Ofsted registered childminder based in the Kings Norton/Northfield area.
I love helping children and their families; it is the most rewarding job I can think of! I have a calm and patient manner and like to have fun with the children. On a typical day we might: bake a cake together; do some craft activities; complete a scavenger hunt or even create some delicious mud pies in our mud kitchen! My aim is to use every opportunity for learning and language development. I also like to get out of the house once a day to age appropriate events (such as playgroups, libraries and parks), ensuring that the children are active and entertained.
I offer a ‘home-from-home’ experience, where the children feel safe and secure. I work in partnership with parents to ensure each child’s needs are met.
All meals and snacks are provided, which are carefully planned to make sure they are healthy and nutritious. All I ask is for you to bring nappies, wipes and a spare set of clothes……we may get mucky at times!
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for over 10 years, gaining a huge amount of experience working with children of all ages. During this time, I have worked as a nursery nurse looking after rooms of up to twelve toddler aged children and preparing them for school, and as a nanny for 3 separate families with children ranging from 9 months to 12 years old.
My Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 Children's Care, Learning and Development
NCFE Level 3 Certificate In Assessing Vocational Achievement
Paediatric First Aid
Designated Safeguarding Lead
Childminding Course
Safer Food Handler Level 2
My Availability
I am available Monday to Friday from 7.30am until 5.30pm.

We’ve been using Laura since September. She is amazing, such a wonderful person with children. She gave me such a great feeling the first day I met her, it’s so important to be comfortable and content with the person looking after your child. I’m reassured when I leave for work knowing my son with have a great day with Laura, he already has a lovely bond with her.
I’d highly recommend her 😊
