About Me
I am mum of a delightful 8 year old boy who loves a good book, anything on a stage, watching sports and total wipeout, has a great sense of humour and also has Cerebral Palsy; and wonderful 5 year old twin girls who love performing, creating things and going on family adventures.
My Requirements
I am looking for someone who would be able to work with our family as part of a small team to provide 1:1 care and support for my son with personal care needs, blending his meals and gastrostomy feeding as well as assisting him with homework, reading, play activities and with therapies such as music and physio exercises. Physically assisting him transferring in and out of wheelchair and walking frame. Occasionally taking care of the girls if I need to take son to an appointment.
Full training will be provided.
Various hours available and can be flexible and discussed:
Monday to Friday 7-9am
Monday to Friday 3-6pm
Saturday mornings 7:30-12
School holidays more hours available.
Ideal candidate-
• Would be able to provide a high standard of therapeutic support with a caring and professional approach.
•Someone caring, energetic and fun loving with a can-do attitude.
•Someone who can take initiative and has strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills.
• Preferably have some experience of working on a 1:1 basis with children or with children with physical disability
Rates of Pay-
Monday to Friday £15 per hour
Saturday and Sunday £17 per hour.
Bank Holidays £22.50 per hour
