About Me
Hello.... My name is Jane Harrison. I’m an Ofsted Registered Childminder based in Laleham, Staines.
I have an NVQ3 in Childrens Care, Learning and Development.
I work with Cara who is also a Registered Childminder. She works full time and is registered with Ofsted.
We are both First Aid trained and hold current Safeguarding Children certificates.
We attend regular training.
We accept all forms of childcare funding/voucher schemes and can offer care through EYFE funding for 2,3 and 4 year olds.
We take the children out daily for lots of fun and adventures.

Both my children have gone to Jane since 1 year old as I returned to work full-time.
They have both thrived and run in everyday. They talk about Jane and Cara at home as well.
They take the children out on trips and get regular pictures of what they have been up to.
My mind was put at ease with my first going when I met them and he had his settling in sessions. The garden is great, the children love playing out there in the summer.
I really like the home from home setting as well. Makes me and them feel really comfortable. Cannot recommend Jane and Cara enough

We have loved having the children and will miss them very much x
This was my first experience of using childcare for my 1 year old & when I met Jane & Cara; they put my mind at ease straight away. My daughter was very happy under their care & supervision & I would recieve regular pictures & updates of their days out. Knowing that Sophia was in good hands; really put my mind at ease; especially as me myself find it very difficult leaving Sophia all day with others - even family - I felt reassured. We only ended the childcare with them because we have now moved away otherwise we would have liked to have stayed with Jane & Cara. I can’t thank them enough & would highly recommend.

Jane and Cara have cared for my two children for many years, both from the age of 1 right up to them attending school, at which point they have then also had weekly after school pick up.
Jane and Cara have played a big part in my children’s early years care. They have always enjoyed their time in Jane’s setting, with lots of fun activities and amazing day trips. They are brilliant childminders.
I was so thankful for the support they provided in preparing both of my children for school.

Jane was our childminder from 2008 through to summer 2020, caring for our two sons - eldest from 2.5 years and youngest from 6 months old - through to 11 years old. Initially full-time, moving to provide wrap around care once they began at Laleham Primary.
Jane has always ensured a safe, friendly and adventurous setting, instilling values , understanding and compassion along the way.
Her trips have always been extra special and varied giving them lots of experiences - from crab fishing, beaches and theme parks, to zoos and themed events within their setting, lots of craft and food activities. Always ensuring that everyone is included, and given the confidence to try things they might not normally.
Our youngest has ADHD, and Jane was proactively involved in helping us with him, settling routines, and finding ways to help him cope when he needed space and support.
Cara and Jane have worked together for some time now and they ensure stability, consistency and have clear policies and structure.
Both provide reassurance to the children within their care, giving regular and clear communication to us as parents. Particularly through this COVID period in 2020, they have ensured clear updates on requirements (sanitiser/handover methods, etc) which were shared as soon as possible and they worked hard to give the children as much normality as possible throughout this changing and unique time - stability that was much appreciated.

My nephew went to Jane’s before attending school and he was so happy there I knew for certain I’d send my children there. We love having Jane as our childminder, she is fantastic with the children and my son runs in every time no looking back. Jane and Cara take the children on so many fantastic outings, trips and activities - they are very lucky.
Jane is very organised, flexible and extremely supportive especially during recent times. I have and will continue to recommend Jane to family and friends and I look forward to my second son starting there next year.

Jane and Cara have been looking after my children for the last 4 years, right from when my son was aged 1, to when he started school in September. Now my daughter attends during the day three times a week, and they also help with school drop off and pick up.
The care they give and the fun they create is unbelievable. They take the children on regular day trips to fantastic places, and even during these difficult times they ensure they still get out and about. They send regular updates on what they’ve been up to and photos from their days out.
They also played a big part in preparing my son for school, from teaching self care to the early stages of learning.
Both of my children love going to Jane and for me they are flexible and supportive. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

My son was in Jane's care for almost 10 years, full-time and then wrap around care after he started school.
As a working Mum it means everything to know that your child is well cared for and that their social and developmental needs are being met through the huge range of age appropriate activities Jane provides.
Jane's setting really is a home from home and she has a fantastic child friendly garden.
Highly recommend.

My 2 year old loved the setting. He really enjoys adventure and exploration and this is exactly what Jane and Cara provide. As a full time working OT, it was a pleasure for me leaving my son in their care each day.
