About Me
Hi my name is Sarah and I'm a registered childminder situated in Shire Oak, Brownhills. I am a mother of 3 children aged 8, 7 and 3. I have been my mother's childminder assistant for the past 8 years and have now recently registered to childmind from my own property and have been open since September 2024.
I offer a home from home environment which is safe, secure and stimulating, ensuring all children's individual needs are met. I provide a wide range of fun activities which support the learning and development of all children. I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and Birth to 5 matters documents to guide me with ensuring the children are learning and progressing.
My home environment is a large open plan play room with free flow access to the garden area. I encourage children to spend time outdoors everyday no matter the weather. We also visit local parks, farms, the library and other planned outings to continue to develop children's understanding of the world.
Parent partnership is very important to me and the development of the children. I keep parents up to date with how their children are learning and developing through messages and development checks.
I offer childcare Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 5:30pm and close for 5 weeks a year over the school holidays.
My Experience
I have a BA Hons Early Childhood degree (2:1) which was achieved in 2010.
I have worked in various early years roles within private nursery settings over a 6 year period including a nursery practitioner, deputy manager and also a manager.
Since having two children close together in age I became my mother's childminder assistant and have worked alongside her for 8 years.
I am extremely passionate about the early years and I understand the importance of nurturing a child's physical, social and emotional needs.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.00 per hour
£45 per day - including snacks and breakfast. Packed lunch is required.

Sarah looked after my daughter from 11 months until 4 years old and my little boy from 6 months until we moved away when he was 2 1/2 years old. They still ask if they can go back now, their time with Sarah was their absolute fave!
She is so passionate about making sure all of the children have the best experience in her care, and that they are happy for and supported in their early learning journey!
I cannot recommend her enough.
You get great feedback about your children’s progress, fun updates on their daily adventures and play, and confidence that they’re receiving the best, loving care in a home environment. The only issue is the kids never wanting to come home as they’re having so much fun!

I cannot put into words how immensely happy I am with this provision. It not only supports the learning of my child but also the wellbeing of him too. I have never ever experienced such a setting quite like this one. My son is happy about going and sometimes hasn't even wanted to come home he has so much fun. The activities they provide are nothing but outstanding, expertise clearly shows. They have an outstanding ofsted but are outstanding all year round. I got childcare right this time with the third child. Thank you for providing such an amazing first years for my boy. Being able to keep all the photos along the way is something very special. You treat Alfie like he's one of your own and nothings ever too much. Thank you for making his birthdays so special too 🫶❤️😭

Sarah has cared for my little boy for the last year and a half and we could not have asked for a better childminder. She provides a safe, creative and nurturing environment and he has absolutely loved being in her setting. The transition to childcare was made so easy for us because he was immediately so comfortable with her and he has loved spending time with her. She makes all the kids she looks after feel safe and cared for and it has given us so much peace of mind knowing that he is in her care. She really prioritises spending time outside with the children and doing creative play and he has benefitted so much from it and really grown in confidence since he has been with her. I would 100% recommend her and have nothing but amazing things to say about her.

Sarah looked after both my children whilst they were at primary school. She offered a loving and friendly environment and both my girls loved spending time there. She offered a home from home which included activities that were both fun and educational. I would highly recommend Sarah.

Sarah was looking after my daughter since she was 7 months. Sarah was recommended to us and from the very begging she made me and most importantly my little girl very comfortable and welcome. She is very professional and passionate. If you want total peace of mind in knowing that your child will be safe, cared for and included then Sarah is prefect choice. My child had lots of fun with Sarah and always came home happy.
She sent updates on daily basis. I loved all the photos of my girls happy face always being busy doing some activities.
Highly recommend Sarah.

My son started attending when he was about 10 months old (3 years ago), he settled in very quickly. I have received over the year numerous updates on his development and photos which is lovely to receive. The house and atmosphere is like home from home, I have never had issues with Alex wanting to go, sometimes it’s a struggle to get him to leave!! Alex left last week as he is due to start school, I know he is going to miss her very much as on the weekends he is always saying “I want Sarah”. We feel so blessed to have had Sarah in our lives, whilst it’s sad that our time has come to an end, at least we know someone else gets to experience the pure joy she brings to children’s lives.

Sarah has looked after my children for several years and I couldn’t have wished for a better care giver, she looks after every child as if they are her own. Her ability to bond with different children is amazing she makes you feel relaxed as a parent knowing your child is in the best hands while you are at work. She not only gives them a happy and loving environment to thrive in but she educates them. I highly recommend Sarah as a care giver/childminder and so would both of my girls.

My child was in Sarah’s care since she was 8 months old when i had to return to work up until recently where my child was cared by Sarah in the school holidays. My child is now 6 years old. My child loved Sarah’s setting so much. She felt safe, she had fun and loved all the activities Sarah provided. I trusted Sarah very much, she always informed me on how my child was through out the day, i cannot fault her communication. I would highly recommend Sarah as a child minder.

Sarah is a fantastic childminder. She first looked after my son 7 years ago with her mum and he continues to attend now and thoroughly enjoys going. She has always looked after my son like he is one of her own. His days there are filled with fun, laughter and learning and he has developed in to a very happy and sociable boy. My problem is trying to get him to leave at the end of the day! I now have a 16 month old daughter who is completely different to my son, she was very shy and had severe separation anxiety and I was anxious to leave her, even though I know how much of a fantastic childminder Sarah is. Sarah reassured me that if my daughter found it difficult she would let me know and do whatever it took to settle her in gently and make her and myself feel at ease. My worries were for nothing, she has settled in beautifully and I couldn't have asked for it to go any better. I am regularly sent pictures of her activities throughout the day and she is always smiling and happy. To be able to go to work and know your children are safe, happy and cared for is huge thing for a parent and I couldn't have done it without Sarah.
