About Me
I am a 38 year old mum of 2. My eldest is at University and my youngest is 11 and is with his father part time. My degree is psychology/sociology and I also have a diploma in child psychology. I have 12 years experience working across all ages, in a primary school, as a Childline counsellor, in a pupil referral unit (so behaviour issues are not intimidating to me!), with special needs families, and in a secondary school. My daughter had physical disabilities and I have volunteered in an autistic youth group in the past so I am comfortable with working with children with additional needs. I am looking to earn some extra money whilst I train to be a teacher during this year. I am free some evenings and weekends due to my son's father being a shift worker, so would be ideally suited to occasional work or bookings in advance.
I love babies and small children and enjoy working with older children too. My rendition of the Gruffalo is second to none!
I will also provide additional services for an agreed fee such as cleaning, laundry and sewing/repairs.
I love reading to children, and also have an A level in art which I like to express through crafting with children.
I can bake and cook from scratch, and would be happy to do this as an activity with children.
My Experience
As above, 12 years working across all age ranges. Worked with special needs. Personal experience with babies and toddlers, both my own and many of my friends who I've babysit in the past.
My Qualifications
Diploma in child psychology.
Degree in psychology/sociology.
Various professional qualifications relating to working with mental health in children, de-escalation techniques, restorative practice.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £8.00 per hour
£8 per hour. Will agree a fixed fee if for an overnight stay.
Will also negotiate additional work for one off additional fees such as for cleaning, laundry, tutoring or sewing repairs.
