About Me
I have spent 5 years as part of UCC cheerleading squad and competed in national
championships competitions being very successful in this taking roles of team leader
doing choreography and latterly mentoring/training younger members of the squad.
I've taught PE sessions within my placement setting as well as helping with
performances and competitions. In my time at school I took part in a course that
enabled me to be a judge in KS1 and KS2 gymnastics competitions and took part in
judging a competition. I spend one day per week assisting an elderly lady who suffers
from dementia by taking her to the hairdressers and for her lunch weekly, I helped
her with her shopping and also took care of the cleaning in her home, I also took her
to other things such as appointments and built up a strong relationship with her that
she and me both feel comfortable in each others presence which provides her with a
routine. I am motivated, with good enthusiasm that can work well independently and
within a team.
My Experience
Ive worked in a primary school volunteering for around 3 years and recent just received my qualification as a teaching assistant, I’ve got a B in level 2 health and social care, I worked privately for an elderly woman with dementia and cared for her as well as taking care of house hold jobs, for example the cleanliness of her home. I have also worked cleaning cottages around Ullswater lake and Keswick.
