About Me

I am currently working as a Nanny to two very special little people. I made the leap in to
nanny life two and a half years ago. I enjoy the freedom and personalised care that I am able to deliver. I feel privileged to a part of the early years of little lives and have built some very special bonds with the children in my care.

My responsibilities as a Nanny include muddy welly walks, library visits and other everyday activities such as serious play-dough creations, painting pictures and doing the voices properly in books!
I have also taken the children in my care to regular playgroups and music sessions.
Some days can be structured and other days the child will lead their learning. Nothing better than an impromptu puddle jumping expedition on an unexpected rainy day!

I also do general, light housework although the child/children in my care are my top priority.

I live with my husband, our three children aged 3, 9 and 12 and our lively dog!
I enjoy any spare time I can squeeze in doing the normal family activities such as movie nights, dog walks and lazy pyjama days! I also enjoy reading and up-cycling old furniture. We are slowly doing up our little old house.

I'm a calm, caring, creative and nurturing person. I am naturally family and child centred. I am organised and quite used to being part of a busy household.

My Experience

From a young age I knew I wanted to work with children but it took me few years to find out that Nannying was the perfect career for me.

After graduating with a 2:1 in History I applied for a Teaching Support role in a primary school. I spent two very happy years there before deciding to pursue a teaching career.

I qualified as a primary school teacher in 2009 specialising in Early Years. I worked in three schools over my ten year teaching career. I taught mainly in school based nurseries as well as Reception classes. I gained an excellent understanding of early childhood development and a passion for child-led learning. I have many happy memories of my teaching years.

As a mother of 3, I obviously have a huge amount of experience raising babies and children and understand the demands of juggling parenting, careers and other household demands.
