My Experience
I am a fully qualified Childcare Practitioner to which I am working full time in an outdoor kindergarten. Working with babies, toddlers and children has always been my passion. I studied childcare, at college, for 3 years and hold 3 qualifications relating to childcare. I have an NQ Childcare, an NC Early Education and Childcare and an HNC Childhood Practice. As well I hold the Forest Kindergarten award, as I completed my 3-day Forest Kindergarten training, which I really enjoyed.
Over the years I have gained a vast amount of experience and knowledge in the care, learning and development of children. I have 3 nieces and 1 nephew, which I babysit a lot and in 5th year at school I worked in a local nursery for 2 afternoons per week. At the start of 2018 I was employed to take a 3 year old child from a local nursery home, until the summer of 2018. In the academic year of 2018/19 I was employed to take a P1 from school to an after school club. In 2019 I was employed as a nanny for 5 months for at least 6 hours per week to look after a one and a half year old. However, as I then moved on to do my NC Early Education and Childcare course I unfortunately couldn’t do it anymore. This is the same family to which I took their eldest son home from nursery and I have still continued to babysit both children for the past 3 years. Since summer (2020) I was collecting a now 4 year old and taking them home and playing with, giving dinner to and waiting till one of the parents return home from work, as they are both professionals. As well I still currently babysit with the family I have known and babysit for the past 6 years, as well as being their nanny to their youngest child for 5 months.
Currently I babysit for a few families in my local area, to which I really enjoy.
