About Me
Hi there - we are looking for a live-in Nanny for our gorgeous son Louis, with an effective salary of £60,000 for 30 hours a week when factoring in free accommodation, bills, and food. In-pocket salary is £30,000 a year.
IDEAL for someone who may be studying, as the hours are 7.30-9am in the mornings, and 6.30 to 10.30pm in the evenings. Your whole day is free except for the odd hour here and there with the home-school team and food preparation for Louis!
Louis is 16 years old and has autism with limited language. However, we are very lucky in that unlike many people with autism, Louis doesn't have any really negative or aggressive behaviors. He is very warm, tactile, and loving, and is a total joy to be around. He has a wonderful spirit and is a lot of fun!!
As a family, his mum Anne and I are divorced, but we are pretty much best friends. I live 2 minutes from Anne, where Louis lives most of the time and where the live-in job is located. But we home-school Louis at my house, with the council covering the costs. We have a wonderful team comprising of ABA teachers, speech and language socialists, occupational therapists, and others.
We are looking for cover between 7.30-9am week days, then looking after Louis from 6.30 to 10.30 pm when he goes to bed.
It is important you have experience with autism and childcare is your chosen career.
The house is lovely, all rent is covered with a very competitive annual salary with holidays etc. You will also learn a great deal about autistic education, as you will be interfacing with the home-school team.
More than anything, we are looking for someone to really bond with Louis, to make sure he is active (he's a big swimmer!), and to deeply care about and have lots of fun with him! He loves laughing and being silly!!
Thanks
Paul and Anne
