About Me
I have worked in childcare for 10 years now and am in the process of registering as a childminder. My initial inspection date is June 26th so aim to be ready to be up and running before September 2025.
I currently a childminding assistant to my mum in Twickenham where my key children are a 2 year old girl and 2.5 year old boy but my mum is due to move house therefore I am registering as a Childminder myself in my own house in Staines. I will continue Nannying for my current 2 children until September 2025.
I live with my partner who is in the police and our lovely Border Collie and two cats. Im spending the next few months building the colourful and positive setup in my home with plenty of toys, crafts and activities, Including a garden for outdoor play. With my mum being a childminder I have essentially grown up with this job and always find myself helping out even on my days off.
Most days we are out doing something fun whether it’s simply to the playground or playgroup or on adventures out to the farm!
I am a big animal lover so never afraid to get stuck in with the kids whether it’s digging for worms in the mud or handling creepy crawlers!
I have worked in childcare for 10 years now and I just love it, it really is one of the most rewarding jobs.
I love the idea of a home from home environment but still being able to stay with a routine too as I believe children enjoy the comfort of familiar surroundings but thrive on structure. I find that we can have the perfect balance in this environment, as well as allowing parents to feel at ease about their child being in a place that feels safe and secure while still benefiting from a routine that encourages growth and development. It creates an atmosphere where children can explore, learn, and feel comfortable, while parents have peace of mind knowing their child is in good hands.

My Experience
I worked in a Nursery in Twickenham as a Room leader of a group with the age 18months to 3 years. But I also worked with all ages, from 4 months to 4 years throughout the day. I worked in the Nursery for almost 5 years. I was the Room Leader for a room of children aged 18months-3 years and the Safeguarding lead in the setting. I really enjoyed this but then decided to try out a a nanny job with a lovely 9 month old baby who I still do the school pick up of today now that he’s 6! I took a break from nannying when the family took maternity leave and went back to a nursery working as a deputy manager in a Nursery in Egham for almost a year which I really did enjoy but prefer more hands on based roles so I went back to my nanny family after they had their baby but registered as a childminding assistant this time.
I have A level 3 in Safeguarding, I am level 3 Qualified in Childcare, DBS checked and First Aid trained.
My Qualifications
I have A level 3 in Safeguarding and A level 3 in Childcare.
