I am an OFSTED (rated GOOD) registered Childminder. I live in Shepperton (Surrey), very close to Bishop Duppas park and Walton bridge, with my son and my lovely husband, who is a secondary school teacher.
I love to see children growing and developing in terms of confidence, ability, and with strong manners. I want children in my care to enjoy gaining a passion for learning in all of its forms, to become school-ready, and to feel relaxed, comfortable, and safe in my setting.
Learning through play (both structured and free) I respect and listen to children, and enjoy engaging in their imaginary worlds to support their growth of confidence. I prioritise learning development in early years because at this time the brain is growing and learning at the maximum level.
Variety is the spice of life (and learning). Planned activities based around the children’s interests will ease the learning process as I will nurture curiosity and encourage further learning. Some activities could include; baking, messy play, and roleplay, as well as allowing children to explore and learn by themselves within my dedicated activity summer room.
I believe in being outdoors as much as possible to give children fresh air, exercise, and the chance to explore new places with that feeling of ‘freedom’. We visit local play grounds, local activity groups, library rhyme time, animal farm or zoo, and Hampton Court.
My Experience
I have the knowledge and experience to offer a homely environment for the children in my care. As a parent myself, raising my son, I understand the challenges of working full time and trying to find the right childcare, which is why I am as flexible as possible with making things work with all of my parents.
Before childminding I worked as a Sous Chef which has given me insight into how to produce nutritious, healthy food efficiently. I produce weekly menus for the children in my care to ensure that the children receive the nourishment they require.

My Fees

Babysitting £12.00 per hour.

Fees include morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner (depending on pick up time) and day trips out.
Fees are calculated on a pro rata basis based on the academic year and charged monthly.

Nancy provides a loving nurturing environment for our toddler with a good combination of play, learning and days out to the park, farm etc.
She looks forward to her visits and always has a smile on her face when we go. It is also lovely to see how well all the kids interact and become friends with each other.

Nancy is a great and attentive childminder. She communicates well, sends us daily updates, varies their experiences, and puts in a lot of effort to make the environment conducive to developing minds. Our son adores her, and we will highly recommend her to any prospective parents.

Nancy provides a wonderful nurturing environment for our toddler with lots of learning, play and outside activities. She clearly loves her time with her and always runs up to the front door. We are very happy with the updates we receive each day of activities with lots of hands on learning and crafting.

We have been so lucky to find Nancy to look after our little girl.
Summer settled in straight away with Nancy, sometimes she wants to stay there!! You can tell that Nancy treats all the children as individuals and takes her time to really connect with them which was so important to us. Summer has really thrived in her care and learnt lots already. It’s such a blessing to feel so confident she is being looked after by such a caring and calm role model.

Nancy helped me out with one off childcare as I was in the area and was so welcoming and amazing that my daughter settled in straight away. She has such a wonderful place for children to play and explore as well as taking them out to toddler groups etc. I couldn’t recommend her enough and when we move to the area will be hoping she has a permanent space as I couldn’t be happier with the level of childcare she provides. 1000% recommend Nancy, my daughter had the best day.

Nancy provides such a fantastic setting for our son. He is very happy to go to Nancy each day and i have such piece of mind knowing he is safe and comfortable. Nancy takes the children out each day for outdoor play but also provides educational and enriching indoor activities. Our boy has learnt so much from Nancy, numbers, phonics, road signs and much more. She feeds the children healthy substantial meals and maintains a very well run setting. I would highly recommend Nancy.

Nancy is a wonderful childminder who supports each child as an individual. She promotes their growing independence, and delights in their antics and achievements. Nancy is great at getting the children out and about encouraging them to explore and understand the world around them.
Her home is light and welcoming, with a wide range of toys for the children to engage with as well as the structured activities she does with them. And (according to my sons) the best thing are the meals, delicious and nutritious!
I would highly recommend Nancy.

We are extremely happy with the care Nancy provides for our son. The photos she sends each day are gratefully received. It’s so nice to see all of the wonderful things Nancy does with him to help him develop and learn. We know that when we go to work, we are leaving him in the best possible care and that he is happy.
