About Me
Hi.. my name is Sally and I am an experienced and qualified Registered Childminder living in Oakdale, Poole. I have been consistently graded Outstanding by OFSTED for the last 8 years. I offer a home from home environment where the children can play, learn and have lots of fun! I have a bright playroom with plenty of toys, books and resources, and also a child friendly garden for the children to explore and enjoy playing with sand, water and outside play equipment . We like to go on regular outings to toddler clubs, soft play areas, parks and many other places and we mix regularly with other childminders . I am pleased to say that I am still very happy doing this job after many years, and seeing the children grow and develop is extremely rewarding.
My Experience
I have been a registered Childminder for 29 years and still enjoy contact with many of the families and children whom I have cared for. I have NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education, and regularly update and attend training including First Aid, Safeguarding, and many other courses. I'm yet to upload my documents to this site due to my rubbish ICT skills!

One or other of our two children have attended her setting for 2-3 days every week spanning a period of over 5 years and both love it! We couldn't be happier with the care she has provided over this time. She has definitely fulfilled our wish for a 'home from home' family setting and we wouldn't have even considered sending our second child anywhere else! She is so loving and caring with all the children we can relax knowing they are in safe hands and having fun. The children have always been keen to go in and settle straight away. She has lots of toys inside and out for creative play and regularly does art and craft activities with the children to fit in with the seasons, festivals or other special days in the calendar. They also have regular outings and meet up with other childminders and family members with their children. We believe Sally's setting has given our children the best possible start and their confidence is a result of variety of opportunities her setting provides.

Sally has been childminder for my little boy since he was 3 months old and I could not have wished for more, Sally has been reliable and supportive as it was extremely tough leaving my little boy at such a young age, but Sally has helped my little boy develop well, help us through difficult toddler behaviours providing knowledgeable suggestions and putting consistent approaches together. Sally also ensured she communicated effectively and kept me update with all the progress she could see Charlie making and helped by giving feedback for 2 year checks. Sally also has a lovely environment for little ones to thrive in providing lots of toys and taking the children to good outdoor activities that help them all grow and develop! I couldn't recommend Sally highly enough!

Sally is a fantastic childminder. Both my sons have been very happy under her care and love going to her house. Her friendly, caring nature has always made them feel so at ease. I was very nervous about choosing the right childcare for my sons when I had to return to work, but Sally made the transition very easy for us, putting my mind at ease and I felt so happy that I had made the right choice. It is obvious how much she really cares about each individual child and wants the very best for all of them. She has been great at helping them to develop and helping to focus on any areas that they need more help with. Her communication has always been great and she is very approachable. The setting is so lovely and bright and very clean with a fantastic array of toys. I would 100% recommend Sally to anyone looking for a childminder!
