About Me
Hi, my name is Melanie and I am an OFSTED registered childminder in Castleford area and care for children from birth to 8 in a fun and friendly home environment with a separate purpose built building. I am a member of Childcare.co.uk and I am fully insured. I live with my Husband Stephen which we have been married for 20 year we are both DBS checked. We have two daughters who is 30 years and a daughter who is 18 years old. We also have a grandson age 5.
I attend local toddler groups with the children I organise a wide range of creative activities such as dough modelling, block building, sewing, painting, collage etc. I also spend time reading, singing, playing games, messy play, yoga & have a wide range of toys & play equipment.
My Experience
I studied health, social care and child development at collage, I have been a Brownie, and Girl Guide volunteer, I have raised 2 children of my own, and also care for my grandson. I have worked as a manager for many years. I am a OFSTED registered childminder.
I undertake regular Continuing Professional Development and attend quarterly meetings with the local authority to receive training and to stay updated with framework and business changes Some courses have to be retaken every 1-3 years.
