Sarah has worked for our family since May 2012, she joined when my daughter, Grace, was 16 months old and is leaving employment with us due to our relocation.
Sarah has been a wonderful Nanny to Grace and she will be sadly missed by us all. Grace was diagnosed with Leukaemia when she was 6 months old and the decision to return to work whilst she was still receiving treatment was a tough to make. This decision was made easier by knowing that I was leaving her in the capable hands of Sarah. During our time with us Sarah has provided amazing care for Grace this has included ensuring that she has interesting, educational and fun activities to do, such as painting, crafts, jigsaws, swimming and trips to the park or zoo. Sarah has also investigated local clubs and taken her to gardening club and cooking club. Throughout this time Sarah has had to take into account any special requirements that Grace has had due to her illness, whilst maintaining “normal life” and interaction with other children.
As well as the above activities Sarah has completed tasks for Grace such as her washing and ironing, cooking, tidying of toys, Drs and dentist appointments. Sarah has always gone above and beyond the call of duty in caring for Grace and supporting our whole family.
During this time I have also had a job that has taken me away from home a lot and Sarah has been very flexible in supporting this for me.
I cannot speak highly enough of Sarah, she will be greatly missed by us all and especially Grace who often asks for Sarah days at weekends!
Sarah spent some time with our family and was very easy going, with good control over the children and excellent teaching abilities, I could see in the short amount of time she spent with us that she understands child development and learning very well. It was unfortunate that our situation changed which meant we no longer needed Sarah, however I would highly recommend Sarah based on what we have seen.
When meeting Sarah for a nanny position Sarah came across as a really nice person whom I could see would be a good nanny to my children, and it was only for cost reasons that we did not proceed. Sarah was well presented, professional and easy to get on with and was punctual and polite. She interacted well with my children in the time she was here. I wish her all the best for the future
