About Me
Hi my name is Fan, I'm an Ofsted-registered childminder. I'm also a qualified Chinese language teacher and a mum with extensive experience in looking after young children. My setting, Little Dragons House Childminding, offers a safe and nurturing environment for children to play, learn and grow in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
I live in a three-storey house with my husband and our two children (one in primary school and the other one in secondary school) in Manor Way, Mitcham. It's a short walk from Mitcham Eastfields train station with bus stops for 118 and 463 around the corner and 152, 60 and 255 also nearby. The whole ground floor is used for childminding, including a bright and airy living room, toilet, kitchen and a large air-conditioned playroom. We have a good-sized garden allowing kids to enjoy sandpit, water play, biking, ball games, activity gym and playhouse etc.
My Experience
I've been a registered childminder since 2019. Previously I worked as a language teacher with children in nursery, school and domestic settings for 5 years. Before pursuing a career in teaching and childcare, I had a rewarding job leading a team of advisers supporting students to successfully enroll for universities. It was when I had my own children that I realised my true passion lies in childcare and teaching.

Our baby goes to Fan and she is the most lovely and dedicated childminder. We have been so happy and our baby loves her. We couldn't recommend Fan highly enough and we hope this review helps other families to find her š. She is warm and professional to her role and will always be there to help including babysitting if needed in an emergency.

Fan is a great childminder, she is caring and loving, always listens to the childrenĀ“s needs and makes the best efforts to accommodate busy working parents. I feel she has supported the whole family in the process of growing up from baby to toddler. My daughter adores her and her family. The childminding space is clean, safe and inviting to play and learn. Fan plans activities for the children to interact, learn and being outdoors. I really canĀ“t recommend anyone better than her.

Fan is so lovely & welcoming.
Her space is clean & has lots of toys & activities for the children, as well as a lovely outdoor space.
I needed some help with childcare during the summer holidays for my 4 year old son, and it was the first time he had attended any childminders. He had such a great time that he cried at home time! She also took him for scooter rides to the skate park, library etc & he had lots of fun. I provided a packed lunch as my son is vegan but Fan also gave him extra snacks such as fruit when he asked :)
I would love to use her again in future when she has more availability.

Fan is lovely and professional and she really cares for children under her care.
I was little nervous sending my daughter to Fan as she has speech delay and also takes time to get along with people. But Fan made her feel welcomed there and helped her feel home in her setting.
Fan accommodate with different activity and crafts. Also provides lovely meals and snacks with health balanced diet in consideration.
My daughter really enjoyed her time spent there and happy there.
Can't recommend enough of this place and can't thank enough to Fan who provides fantastic care!!

Fan is an absolutely amazing professional and the nicest person. Children absolutely love her and her setting. When my 3 year old daughter was with Fan, I felt very confident and and ease and I knew that she was receiving excellent care. Fan is very attentive and creative when it comes to children's activities, she comes up with really fun games and crafts. Fan provides very nice and healthy meals that became a staple in my household since then. Every day we were very thoroughly informed what my daughter was doing and what she was eating. I was receiving plenty of pictures every day. At the end of the week I was also given a detailed report. I couldn't recommend Fan enough :)

Fan is wonderful! I contacted Fan for help with childcare when the lockdown started. We chatted about her setting and my daughter met her. Straight away she was at ease and enjoyed playing with the numerous toys. My daughter has such a great time at Fanās house and has developed a very close friendship with the children there. They go out everyday to the common, or a park or the skate park. They spend lots of sensory time and Fan sends pictures that light up my heart. She gives a detailed description of the day when we pick her up and is very approachable about discussing any needs you have. I cannot recommend Fan enough, and we are really sorry to say goodbye in September when my daughter starts nursery.

From the moment I met Fan I instantly knew I would move my son from his nursery to Fan's house. Fan has a natural warm and caring nature and her house and garden are fully set up for a day of play and light learning. Fan has thought of everything, she has air con inside for those really hot days and has recently put up a marquee in her garden to shield the children from the sun when they're playing in the garden.
Everyday I receive pictures of my son and the activities he's been up to, which warm my heart, something I never got from a nursery. With our permission Fan takes my son on regular day trips to Mitcham Common allowing him to explore, which he loves!
My son is 3 and it's the first setting he has attended and doesn't cry when I drop him off....he happily waves me off! My son is so naturally himself at Fan's and I have full faith that when I leave him each day he's safe and happy, what more could a mother want! I highly recommend Fan.

Fan was wonderful from the moment we met her. Her place instantly felt like home from home. She said all the right things, such as positive parenting and home cooked food. Fans words are so true and itās nice to find a childminder who has the childrenās fullest attention. The variety of food she provides is astounding, making my son try new foods. Her attention to detail cannot be faulted, she cares for my son like her own; he goes one day a week, and I wish it was more. The space the kids have is superb, both indoor and out.
The daily photos of my son that I get are just the best, he holds the highest regards of Fan and always asks if itās āFan dayā today.
Iād definitely recommend (as I have done) Fan to anyone and everyone. High recommend. Seriously cannot fault anything.
